Walton's Southern Table Restaurant  <--- clickable link to the     homepage

I do not think it's a state secret, but if so, I apologize for letting the secret out.  Overy in Huntsville at the corner of Whitesburg Drive and Airport Rd., in the building where Ruby Tuesday's used to conduct business is a new restaurant owned, and run so I'm told, by the same family that own's and runs Rosie's Mexican Cantina.  This is nothing like Rosie's other than it's a fantastic place to eat/dine and has terrific food and service.   It is a "Meat & 3" or "Meat & 2" depending on what you want to order and like Rosies is closed on Sunday.   Granted it's over in Huntsville but these days that's not too bad of a drive and many in the Shoals area often travel over to Huntsville for shopping or just a quick trip or even work.

This is in the old Ruby Tuesday's building which is beside Taziki's Mediterranian restaurant (used to be Fazoli's) and on the corner.  The food we selected was great and the service was likewise as well as reasonable prices for Lunch and Dinner.  If you are in the area and looking for someplace new you might want to give it a try.   I'm wondering if there may, one day, be a chance we'll see one in the Shoal's area.  That may be wishful thinking and doubtful but Waltons deserves recognition and compliments, at least from my perspective and I hope I haven't built it up too much but additional comments, in the future, should help level it out.  They also had some great looking homemade desserts but I was too full to partake.

Looks like a Must Try place to eat when in Huntsville. Its got my kind of Food menu. Southern Meat & Vegetables type menu restaurants are my preferred places of choice.  Noticed on web site, Desserts, bring back memories of those wonderful southern pies our mothers & grandmothers made. Definitely has that down home style food feel.. Thanks GBRK for pointing out the place...We will give them a try...

If its a spin off restaurant from the Rosie's owners group, then you know it will be top notched in every detail of customer satisfaction..  they seem to have the right formula for what a restaurant should be.

No problem, I'm just a foodie who loves to eat and enjoy great food.  When a new restaurant opens, and I hear about it, (and I hate to use this analogy) I'm like a cat with a new litter box, I have to jump right in and try it.

The folks that own/started Rosie's, and apparently this place, began their restaurant ventures (or so I've been told) by starting out with a concept called "Steak Out" then sold it off and from there went to Rosies and so on.  They are surely wise and intelligent about what they are doing and my only hope is one day, like with Rosie's Mexican Cantina, they will open Walton's Southern Table in the Shoals area.
