When did it close and why? Was supposed to meet someone for lunch and was told it was closed. I thought they were opwn every day except Sat and Sunday. Was it like some others around?

Maybe people got tired of paying for half cooked, nasty tasting food.

Homeside is moving to a new location north of where they were.LIKE Homeside
They usually close around holidays like Independence Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and maybe a couple more. They usually post a sign on the door as to when they re-open.
A call to Garden Gate went unanswered at the Muscle Shoals location but a man at the Florence restaurant said they were still open. I did mention to the wife yesterday, when we drove by, how small the number of cars there was in the parking lot and wondered if something had happened.
As for Homeside moving that appears true but we were told it was to that white building by the Tomato house and if that's so wow what a small place that building is and what limited parking it will be. Wonder what prompted that move for if that's really the place which many say it will be then it will be a huge uphill battle to stay in business. Apparently the old buildings owner wanted them out of the building and jacked up the monthly rent by double and the owner wouldn't pay it. His real problem is that all the employees from there are said to be seeking other jobs and the delay in getting open is due with getting this non-restaurant building up to standards in order for it to handle a restaurant.
