If we would take some of the excessive TAXES on gas, and those EVIRONMENTAL WACKOS would get a life and let us drill in our own soil here in America. Then we would have a lower price of gas. So I can honestly say i dispise excessive high gas taxes and environmental wackos. Thats just the way it is. thank you

Clark kent, I guess your as tired of all of it as I am. Truth is these emotional based treehuggers get to the legislators and play on their weak sympathy. Keeping us off certain land to save a stupid owl or something, and other rediculous causes. Truth is, we are sitting on the solution. Its good that some tax comes off the cost to fix things in our comunities. But they OVER tax everything. Those two things (taxes and inability to drill on our soil) are the cause of it all. Time to start standing up!

You want to get gas below $3 / gallon-- quit buying it. The price is set by the free market. The oil companies will charge as much as they can just like you would if you sold some commodity.
Get used to it, it is going higher.
I have plenty of joy and happiness in my life.
I derive much joy from people such as yourself who have the solutions to all the world's problems. Solutions, which, ironically, would create far more problems than they would solve.

And for zippa, I'm all for using resources but not at the expense of something else. If you loot and plunder resources now, you're not leaving anything for future generations, where that is oil reserves or an endangered species.
It's funny that you think you know me, what I think and what I stand for.
I am all for 50 cent gas, but not at the expense of my children, grandchildren, property rights, etc...
Your "common sense ideas" are fine at their core. Like drill every 80 feet for oil.
But what are the reprocussions? They'll out live you. It's not fair for you to reap benefit to the detriment of generations to follow.

And on the trash, I don't throw my trash on the ground so I won't be out there picking any up. Why reward the people who do that by doing it for them.
I live about a mile and a half from my grocery store, cleaners (rarely used), restaurants, hardware store and my family doctor. I live 1 mile from my public library and 1 mile from the school (the public library and the school library are combined). I walk everywhere I can! I know some people cannot do this or are not physically able to if they live close enough to these facilities, but any of you who can walk or ride a bike a reasonable distance, please do so and buy less gas!
Hey I tell you straight forward, that Im not perfect and that I am flawed from birth just like everyone else. I was just giving some ideas how we can all pitch in and do our part to maybe make life more pleasant. One of the things I suggested was to get out there and pick up some garbage. We could stand to pick up some trash. I also told Clark Kent that I hoped he found some happiness in the world. I dont see how that is an attack Quarrels. I know that if your not thick skinned and are able to take some ribbing and joking around then you should get tough. Or do you just like to argue.
