The Pudgy Pundit was on a tear this morning, castigating Al Franklin as a "despicable" person, and citing, in particular, Franken's refusal to grant extra speaking time to Senator Lieberman during recent Senate debate. John McCain had objected to Franken's action, righteously proclaiming, "I’ve been around here 20-some years. First time I’ve ever seen a member denied an extra minute or two to finish his remarks. … I just haven’t seen it before myself."
This controversy several days ago was all over the media and during the discussions online, in print, and on television and radio, it was repeatedly pointed out that McCain had himself done exactly the same thing during the very important debate over the Iraq War authorizaton. This LINK thoroughly documents McCain's behavior at that time.

Beck undoubtedly knew this side of the story, to wit, that McCain had done exactly the same thing he accused Franken of doing and that not only had McCain "seen that before," contrary to his claim ("I just have't seen it before myself."), he DID IT HIMSELF, as a matter of record. But Beck made no mention whatsoever of McCain's well-known actions, treating the matter instead as some kind of unique, unprecedented action solely attributable to the "despicable" Franken.
This selective, propagandistic, deceitful, asymmetrical kind of punditry is nothing new to Glenn Beck, the latest darling of the dumbed-down set. Trouble is, his sheeple disciples seem so Foxed-up and so oblivious to reality, they actually have come to believe that Beck is a reliable source of information! Thus do Beck and his disreputable ilk continue to steepen and accelerate the continuing decline in the quality of public discourse!
Coincidentally, the Fox & Friends crew had also attacked Franken on the matter, calling him "uncivil," a "newbie," and "an angry clown."
