You title doesn't wash since the article said those with no religious affiliation also have a smaller hippocampus. AND that is not the brain.

Yes, the definitions are a little indeterminate.  I take "no religious affiliation" to mean "just don't care."  Atheists don't really fit into that category.  Atheism is an intellectual counterargument to theistic claims.  We care and care deeply and so do you.

Other studies seem to add credence to my post by showing that people with a religious affiliation, including atheists (and, no, they do not mean atheism is a "religion) are happier than those who just don't care one way or another.  The same study showed that atheists are actually happier than their happy religious counterparts.

That is your interpretation, anyone else would take it to mean atheist.

It actually said stress was the main factor, so if you are happy,  religious or not, you have a bigger hippocampus.

Wiki says all but Lutherans and Episcopalians believe born again means to be baptized.

 

Obviously, some ideas have more merit than others. I have a friend who worships in a make-up cult. He says the more eye-liner, the crazier the person... Hmmm, he could be right.
