i am the last mad scientist on earth. the only one of my kind.  i have the technology to construct a robot that will mimic myself in almost every way.  i will build this robot so that i will be lonely no more.  i will program it for a tendency to love me unconditionally but will introduce faulty logic circuits that will cause it to behave in unpredictable ways.  i will program it with super-advanced artificial intelligence that will grant it limitless ability to learn.  however, if it gets too smart and starts to mouth and tries to assert that he is a natural product of the universe and that i didn't make him, i will send a command to power him down, then download his circuits (including pain receptors)  into a virtual vat of acid that will torment those circuits for as long as i have electrical power.

i am curious if any of you smaller minds have any critiques of my process?  is there anything i should tweak or do i simply sounds like a nut?

Just be sure to enlist a bunch of aboriginals to write stories about you and your creation.   Distribute these stories to a group of people and ask them to copy by hand.  Do this several times, always destroying the original.  Have another group of people judge which of the final copies contain the best stories, and compile this into a collection.  Wait for the nutcases to come out of the woodwork.

Crust, why do you think “a bunch of aboriginals” would fall for uno’s claim to be a capable scientist.

All the aboriginals I’ve met are much smarter than you seem to give them credit.

Hi Interventor,

First, I do not know what you mean by the "the seven Noaic Commandments, not the full ten."   I presume you are speaking of the Ten Commandments which God gave to Moses.   But, I must disagree with you that we Gentiles are only to honor part of the Ten Commandments.

If you look at the Ten Commandments, it is divided into two main themes:  The first Four Commandments are our relationship with God, and are compressed by Jesus, in Matthew 22:37-38, as "You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul,  and with all your mind.  This is the first and great commandment."

And, the last Six Commandments relate to our relationship with our fellow man, and are compressed by Jesus, in Matthew 22:39,   "And the second is like it: 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself.'"

Jesus concludes with the summation in Matthew 22:40, "On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets."

So, no, we Gentiles are not excused or exempted from any of the Ten Commandments.

The Law given to the Israelites in Leviticus was only an interim step toward righteousness, it was not sufficient to give man full forgiveness.  Yet, it does indeed have many lessons for all Christian believers.  We are not saved under the Law, for the Law could save no one (Romans 3:20).

We are saved ONLY by grace, through faith in Jesus Christ -- not of works, not of ourselves  -- it is a gift, freely given by God to all who will turn from this world and turn to follow Jesus Christ.  We learn this in Ephesians 2:8-9.

However, when God declared those things which He hates in Leviticus and other books of the Old Testament -- those things have not  changed.    And, as we are told in Malachi 3:6, "For I am the LORD, I do not change."    And, as we are told in Hebrews 13:8,  "Jesus Christ (God) is the same yesterday and today and forever."

So, when God said, both in Leviticus and in the New Testament, that the homosexual lifestyle is an abomination (Leviticus 18:22), a detestable act (Leviticus 20:13), a degrading passion (Romans 1:26), an unnatural (Romans 1:26), an indecent acts (Romans 1:27), contrary to sound teaching (1 Timothy 1:10), and that those living the homosexual lifestyle will not inherit the kingdom of God (1  Corinthians 6:9) -- He said what He meant, and He meant what He said.  For the Lord our God does not change.

No, Interventor, we cannot agree with the Liberal and with the *** Agenda and proclaim that God has now changed His mind.  The homosexual lifestyle was wrong in the eyes of God in the Old Testament and it still is today.  A person cannot live an active homosexual lifestyle and still be a Christian believer.

That is rather like saying that a person can strip to his bathing suit, swim the Tennessee River, and not get wet.  Can't be done.   And, a person cannot openly, actively, live a lifestyle which God finds to be an abomination and still be a follower of Jesus Christ.

However, what Uno and other atheists, secularists, and vanilla-flavored non-believers are trying to imply in this discussion -- that God is punishing the world, or the Tennessee Valley, because of the sins of the homosexual community -- is NOT TRUE.  It is an intended, purposely fabricated misrepresentation of God and Christianity -- and, is itself an abomination.

God bless, have a wonderful, blessed day,

Bill

The seven Noaic or Noahide commanments were for pre-Christian Gentiles. They could worship at the Temple at the Court of the Gentiles.

The seven commandments included prohibitions against idolatry, murder, theft, sexual immorality, blasphemy, eating of the flesh of a live animal, and to establish courts of justice.

Obviously, strictures in the New Testament that reflect Leviticus are still valid.  However, we don't stone people for wearing a silk/wool weave suit.

Fine.  so why do you guys still use it against homos?

if it is not relevant any more, why keep it in the bible?

the laws were, after all, spoken to the priests directly by god himself.  what happens? did god repent?  why the change of heart?

so many questions.  so little logic in the answers.

Crusty,

We also don't stone people who eat pork, shrimp, oysters, crabs, catfish or lobsters!  All forbidden under the old Mosaic code, which again was only for the tribe of Israel before the coming of Christ.

Those are good things.

Sorry to disappoint but I will not bow to your imaginary friend.

Thank you thank you thank you!!!!!!! What type of god allows such wraith to be set upon a race he apparently created and loves......Pschhh I'd rather go to hell than be around a god who allows so many humans around the world to suffer..

Uno:

I LOVE this thread (at least your starting point).

The Westborough wackos are a-headin for Savannah!

I saw a picture which shows them using their CHILDREN as their brainwashed mouthpieces.  Mindlessly screaming their preprogramed slogans at innocents passing bye.

Pathetic.

I would love to engage one of the "adults" who are forcing these poor children to become such evil puppets in a religious conversation, such as I have with some of the more unfortunate religionists who appear here...

So you are saying that the writers of the Bible are really stupid?

Maybe not stupid, but they did have an agenda when they wrote it, and they did a remarkably poor job.

The Westboro nitwits' family tree does not fork.

This thread should be titled "lack of comprehension and failure to understand those of differing beliefs"....and no, I'm not referring to the Westboro Insane Asylum - most can at least agree that they are crazy.  Strike that - the entire forum should have that title...maybe shorten it to something catchy like "You Caca, Me Shmart".  At the very least, there should be a warning label like those placed on cigarette packages...to those who may venture in unknowingly, hoping to find an intelligent and honest exchange of thought.

NEWS RELEASE
THANK GOD FOR SENDING DOZENS OF TORNADOES TO 5 OF THE SOCALLED ‘BIBLE BELT’ STATES, KILLING NEARLY 200!

“Behold, the whirlwind of the LORD goeth forth with fury, a continuing whirlwind: it shall fall with pain upon the head of the
wicked.” Jeremiah 30:23.  These Southern States claim to be full of God-fearing, Bible believing Southern Baptist Christians. In reality, they despise God, misuse and slander His  prophets, and seek to stop the Gospel from being preached. A  few  generations ago, these states possessed leaders who spoke the truth. Inspired by their pastors, who have become ashamed of the Gospel light, members of the SBC divorce & remarry at the highest rate of any demographic in Doomed america.  “Woe be unto the pastors that destroy and scatter the sheep of my pasture! saith the LORD. Therefore thus saith the LORD God of Israel against the pastors that feed my people; Ye have scattered my flock, and driven them away, and have not visited them: behold, I will visit upon you the evil of your doings, saith the LORD.” Jeremiah 23:1-2

They refuse to warn their fellow man that their sins will take them to Hell and persecute the gentle sheep of WBC for telling them the truth. Recently, Mississippi falsely reported that they shut down WBC, now God punished them for what they wanted to do.  “Thou hast seen all their vengeance and all their imaginations against me. Thou hast heard their reproach, O LORD, and all their imaginations against me;” Lamentations 3:60-61
GOD HATES AMERICA!

God will judge this particular group MUCH harsher.

If it wasn't, dear God help us there's two.

Nah, buf.

If *I* was directing traffic-it might actually flow smoothly.

Now you KNOW what I do for a living.

Wouldn't mind working on a paving crew tho. Good way to get a darker tan.
