If Dawkins thinks supporting evidence for God "might be found" eventually, then he needs to behave this way.
As it stands, he's making money hand-over-fist exploiting various comedy routines at the expense of others that he wouldn't allow to have such sophisticated hypocrisy.
"To claim knowledge in the unknoweable, now that's dishonest...."
Only a valid comment if you negate the concept of God at the start. If God knows, then tells me, then it's neither unknown or unknowable.

After 2500 years of begging, no evidence of "G"od has been forthcoming. It's just highly unlikely any will.
Do you discount the concept of the Flying Spaghetti Monster and the orbiting teapot? If so, you understand how I can discount god.
Why don't you read The God Delusion and find out what's on Dawkins' mind? If you keep making these pronouncements of what's on his mind, in total ignorance, you're going to continue to make yourself look silly.

Sure, Dawkins throws himself through hoops at times with creations such as "provisional positions" on the subject of God.
Then he takes his "provisional position" and makes a dog-and-pony show of it with BBC specials ridiculing the faithful.
It's dishonest. That's the worst thing that can be said about a scientist.
As for anyone else that's waiting for "data" to form an hypothesis---Go ahead, do that. In the interim why are you debating with me?
Ms,
For crying out loud.
I sincerely hope you are not referring to dawkins as a scientist.
He has, long ago, stripped himself of any credibility as a scientist.
The real scientist is in the trenches in pursuit of knowledge.
dawkins doo doo is everywhere when one is involved in forensic methodology under which the facts regarding some atheist’s corpse of reason is examined.
The real scientific community is cursed with this baggage when it is at the mercy of taxpayers and legislation.

hahahahahahahahaha..... that's funny.
Dawkins is quite a good scientist, by any standard. He has spent most of his career as a teacher of science, rather than as a researcher. That is quite a noble pursuit.
Check out his CV sometime.

Well my friend Deep,
You have always seemed as a decent fellow save one assertion of willpower regarding, in the absence of a belief in God, an alternative that would give compassion to your fellow man who chooses to be a believer.
If morals based on teachings of Christ is not ,in your opinion, suited for this purpose. You have demonstrated, along with the boy and that leaping individual south of here with questionable credentials, insensitivity at the least as to an alternative.
Unlike many individuals on here ,it seems for no other purpose than piling on, I will not hold a cloak while believers are stoned.
To sum it all up. Be nice to us. I have dear atheist friends that are always nice.

My dear rram,
I am being nice. Very seldom indeed have I actually unloaded on anyone here.
The restraint I demonstrate here on a daily basis is somewhat Herculean.
You might or might not have noticed that I tend to treat others as they treat me. When you or Nash or Joy or others engages me in a civil discussion, I am happy to respond in kind. Often I overlook the more piddling attempts to insult me. But when my sincerity, honesty, intelligence, and motives are challenged I reserve the right to defend myself effectively.
There are one or two contributors here who I ignore as completely as possible, self-defense notwithstanding. Their honesty and intelligence, or lacks thereof, make reasoned discourse impossible. One cannot argue with a sick mind, best to just go on to the next post.
I am resolute in my convictions, and I think I have a contribution to make to the intellectual fabric of the location of my birth and raising, so I post here. If my postings here are straightforward, and demonstrate an economy of language, sue me.

My dearest friend Deep,
A disagreement as to the role of God, if any, is no more of a challenge to sincerity, honesty, intelligence, and motives than a discussion about allegiance to opposing football teams.
I would say your position is absurd, unproductive and unhealthy to science but I‘ll wait..

rram,
I disagree with your last statement, but I am heartened to see that you equate the worth and validity of gods with football.
That's giving the gods just a little too much credit, but you're within the right order of magnitude.

Never did see the logic in hurtling ones body into another.
I prefer baseball; a game of skill.
I’m sure God is in the rotation.
He throws a nasty curve.

No logic, just the sheer pleasure of catching a ball at full extension and having a defensive back slam into you at 30 feet per second, knocking a snot bubble out of your nose.
If God is in the rotation, then He should dump the designated hitter rule. I'm pretty certain that's of satan.

The designated hitter rule is for wimps. If there is a god, I hope he disagrees.

Lackey's performance yesterday was well below the level of "divine". Two pitches then ejected. God, or maybe Scioscia, should smite him.

One thing as bad as an atheist is someone who attends church every time the door is open & acts holier than thou, then as soon as church is out they are snubbing their nose at the less fortunate, talking down about someone, acting like they might catch a disease if they even look at someone who is not on their level, gossiping and any other crap that do-gooders(people who go to church yet act like a frickin fool otherwise) do, that CLAIM to be a christian! I had much rather hear someone straight out admit that they don't believe, than know that someone does go to church & acts like a donkey's rear end!!! Some people think that just because they attend church then they are going to be ok. If all the people in the world that attended church, really acted like the christians they claim they are, then wouldn't this be a better world?? It takes more than entering a building to make a difference! I don't go to church but that doesn't label me in any way. I had much rather be one of those that sit at home on sunday morning & act like a decent, civilized human being, than one of those that walk out of a church just as mean & nasty acting as they were before they walked in! I do know one thing though, we all got here somehow now didn't we? And personally, the evolution B.S. that my 5th grade science teacher taught us about, saying we evolved from apes, is a load of barn yard droppings! For the atheists out there...how do you think humans came to being? I know we all got here somehow & until I have actual proof that God don't exist, then I go with the theory that he does exist. We could just say that God made good people & satan made the atheist. Works for me!
"For the atheists out there...how do you think humans came to being?"
God waved his trusty magic wand and proclaimed in a very loud voice "Let there be humans."
