Man.. that's a lot of work for someone who doesn't believe in God.... and way to much time spent by someone who has no idea what the Bible teaches... I mean come on... at least know what the Bible means even if you don't believe it's true.
I'll preface this by saying... THIS IS AN ANALOGY!!! since folks don't know how to catch those anymore. lol

Spider-man is not real... but let's say I post something on here that is about Spider-man, but I put him in a black suit with a cape an a bat on the front. What would everyone say?? "You idiot... that's not Spider-man, that's Batman... geeezzz..." See, even though I do not believe Spider-man to be real, if I were gonna post something about him, I should at least have my facts straight about him, even though he's a fictional character.

So... even if God is a fictional character to you, at least get his characteristics correct.

Have a great day all. Wink
Nah... you posted the cartoon... Rather, shouldnt you state why you think this is what the Bible says?

Where does it say, do something idiotic and God will bail you out? Where does it say do something you know is dangerous and stupid because God will come save you? Where does it say, put your life in obvious danger with no chance of survival and God will protect you? Nope.. nowhere.

God blessed us with free will, common sense, and logical progression of thought. If we ignore these blessings to, I guess, test God to see if He would come to the rescue, why would anyone think he would. God should bless us BECAUSE we ignored these other blessings I listed. That is not Biblical, yet is what your cartoon there was trying to say with satire.

ok.. If God ever reveals Himself to me and tells me to do those things, I'll jump right one it. But that's not gonna happen. It isn't a coincidence that after Jesus' death, resurrection, and ascension, that the connection between God and mankind changed. Besides the visions of the prophets, God has little to no interaction with man after Jesus. Jesus was/is that final connection, after His time on earth, that connection is through faith alone. Until God calls an end to this earth age, we have no direct connection with the spiritual world...also why you see demonic possession fade from the Bible after Jesus' death. Acts is the last book to mention any demonic possession. Once again, that is the gulf that was put between the spiritual world and the physical world. We make our own way til the end now.

Quite right, Petah,

It's a fiction, completely invented by men. And I mean men, not humans.

I do not accept your premise. I do not accept the premise to your premise that Jesus survived death.

If you have any evidence, I'm all ears.

Whatever...

you asked for an example... i gave you one..
so you try and blow it off with sarcasam and by mocking.
typical.
thenagel,

I have found that Peter is not really a debater, he seems to be more like a Bill Gray jr. If you don't agree with him then he talks to you like you are stupid and in need of his direction.

Useless to discuss anything with. His use of analogies is misguided and misused. When you give him back a valid one he just doesn't get it.

He is only good for one thing as far as I am concerned. Entertainment. Big Grin

That's it! He's Bill jr, & takes over when Dad can't make it. Eeker

LMAO!

Semi, have I told you lately that I love you?

Nah.. I think ya'll will find that Bill and I have several differing views on things. But I was only sarcastic at first.. I explained in short for the difference between pre-Jesus earth and post-Jesus earth. You are correct about that story, however, that was then. God changed things since. Once again, don't listen to me... READ THE BIBLE!!! lol... It's actually pretty riveting stuff. You don't have to believe it, but if you continue your obsession with Christianity, you sould at least understand the opposing view right??
and Jank.. I don't think you need my direction... I don't care in the least what direction you take.. but when so-called atheists continue to show their lack of knowledge on the basics of the Bible, I feel the need to give the easy to understand version, hoping they will read it for themselves with some common sense understanding... that's a great blessing God gave us... NO WAIT!! I forgot... out of all the billions of species of animals over billions of years, somehow man-kind was the only ones to magically develop that lil piece of DNA along the way right??? LOL

Peter,
I'm really sorry you feel like God left you hanging in your life that time when you needed Him most. I've been there done that and got the scars, but I have also learned about a very loving, caring forgiving God. Call me, # is in my blog, http://cherokeesrealcobra.blogspot.com

I appreciate the sentiment, however, I don't feel that way at all. I'm blessed that God gave me free will and common sense logical progression of thought to make it through this thing we call life. I know God is caring and forgiving, that is a promise I put great faith in.

Who knows what other smart animals might have existed and gone extinct. So many species have.

Whales have no use for architecture, but they seem to like making music.
Well.. when one of em pops out of the ocean, designs and builds a guitar and starts playin it... then I'll buy that they are doin something other than a basic whale trait... Animals follow their instincts alone... we follow ours, yet are able to step back and constantly weigh our decisions... That's the big difference between humans and all other animals. God explains this in the Bible, ain't been able to get one of my athiest buds to explain how their religion accounts for that one for me yet. lol
