They don't test them on Wednesdays at noon if the weather is bad. This has been happening for several years...where I teach the siren is right outside my window so we hear it every Wednesday at 12:00 and I have to explain it to my elementary students every Wednesday that it is just a test.
JFTR, there's not 12 p.m. It's twelve noon. P.M. means post meridian and 12 is the meridian, so you have noon and midnight.

I've lived here off and on for 25 yrs. and always heard the sirens at noon on Wed. I think that's pretty universal for testing in N. Ala.
