i'm with you bamacarl, hope it's a good game.
i can't believe i'm gonna say this, good luck auburn! (spits on the ground!) Big Grin

i was fortunate enough to have a father who LOVED traveling, football and new orleans....
i didn't miss a sugar bowl for about 10 years.

the business owners use to say "auburn rolls in here on game day with a sack lunch and the next day, you can't tell they were ever here!" Wink
sorry.
i saw the way AU played a couple of weeks ago. throwing punches. consistant late hits.
they play dirty and with no honor.
i used to voice support for AU, in the general 'we in the same state' sort of idea.

however, after the horrible displays of their total lack of sportsmanship and integrity, never again will i want anything for auburn other than embarassing defeat and misery.

i think it was the mississippi state game when they pulled all this dirty crap, but i'm not sure.

of course, i can't cheer for the carolina team, because i can't stop giggling about their name.

i assume you're talking about the georgia-auburn game (the miss state game was much earlier in the season)

how anyone can see what this team has done this year (esp last week) and say they don't play with honor or itegrity is beyond me. but that's your opinion.

as for the "throwing punches and constant late hits," Auburn was flagged for ONE late hit in that game. it happens, doesn't mean a team is dirty. and the punches? it was uga who's enitre team that cleared the bench (not the first time they've done it) and the two Auburn Tigers who threw punches only threw them after an uga o-lineman went after Fairley when he was already on the gound. Of course it all started when Fairley his uga's qb as he was being cut to the ground (no call mind you). I'd like to point out then when Fairly's helmet his murray's knee/shin, Fairly was hitting the ground ON HIS SIDE

coulda been georgia. dunno. not really a football fan.
doesn't much matter who it was, in the long run.

how i say it is simple. i watched the game.

one flag, yes. all that means is he was only caught once.
time after time i hear the whistle blow, and then saw 90 hit the QB.
over and over.
yeah, what GA did was pretty crappy to.. they intentionally tried to hurt fairley, which is dirty and sorry no matter the situation, but they aren't playing any more this season, so i haven't had any need to mention i hope they all lose as well.

maybe we saw a different game.
i saw auburn late hit over and over, and then i saw uga try to get a little pay back, and then i saw auburns players being cheered and shoulder patted and atta-boy'd for throwing punches and being ejected from the game.

that tells me it isn't just those two players and fairley that are contemptable, but the additude of the majority of their fans as well.
"yay! you threw punches in a fooball game! what an awsome guy you are! i want my kids to grow up just like you!"

i also saw cam newton scramble and try to run for the 1st down himself, having no one open to throw to, and as he ran for the side line at an angle, and the ga defender ran to push him out of bounds or tackle him as needed, i saw cam reach out, as if to straight-arm the ga player for an extra couple of yards, but instead cam hauled back, and slamed his hand into the side of the GA's players helmet, and it was clearly intentional. it wasn't a missed block, it was a blow struck on purpose. i also watched as a ref yanked newton aside and chewed him out for it. i noticed that cam played a squeaky clean game after that.

see, i have a roommate atm who likes football. i don't liek football, but i'm not gonna stop him from watching a game ifthere isn't something better on i want to watch.
so i had no bias on this game. i didn't care who won. didn't interest me at all.
so i saw what was there, through disinterested eyes. i didn't like or dislike auburn any more or less than any other team in the SEC.
because of the actions of auburns team that day, because of the way they played, i will never support them.
until that game my opinion was 'well, if there's gonna be a national champion, it'd be nice if it were one of the teams from my state.

now, i'd rather the SEC lose the championship than for auburn to win it.

to be fair, i feel the same way about UGA after that game, but they are done this year.
catch me next year, i'll hope they lose then Smiler
i don't blame them for doing something in retaliation, but tryign to cause injury on purpose isn't the way to do it.

thenagel... you just admitted you're not a sports fan, so why are you posting about this?? You get some cherry picked version of what happened in one instant of one game and draw an idiotic conclusion like that?? Get over it, Auburn is SEC Champs, sour grapes don't taste good so why do you eat em??

and TOOL!!!
Great to see you back to show your AUbsession about Auburn!!! Bet you loved that game Sat right??? How many times did your mommy have to remind you that CAM couldnt run out of the TV to get ya????(It's ok... my mom used to have to do that with "The Incredible Hulk" TV show back when I was a youngun... it'll pass with time.)LMAO!!! Great work buddy!!

WAR EAGLE!!
bamacarl is definately the best of em on here LE... maybe the ONLY one!!! lol

And naw bamac, I want to go so bad I can taste it, but gonna be a busy month at work so I have no chance at all!!! I'm already workin a cough though, gonna try to sneak out of work early that day!!

And eventhough I can't bring myself to type Bama's battle cry at you, I have no doubt that Bama will be right back in the thick of things next year. I hope the Iron Bowl is nationally relevant with not only SEC, but BCS championship implications every year!!

WAR EAGLE!!!
I'm not embarrassed about being a Spider man fan or that I played high school football. That's the only things you've said about me that are factual, and also 2 things that anyone who knew me in high school would know.

But you wanna talk embarrassing... how about stalking someone anonymously on the TD forums... you are the one who may wanna quit bringing attention to that you loser idiot. You obviously have a problem with being obsessed with me.

Once again... if you have a problem with me in any way, give me a shout and we can talk in person. Otherwise I just keep picturing a shrine to me in your house.... you're getting a little creepy. LMAO!!
