Good News and Bad.

Dunkin Donuts is coming to Muscle Shoals as some city officials told a Shoals publication the new store will be located on Woodward Avenue where the Donut Shoppe is currently. The Donut Shoppe will be closing (that's the bad news) and their last day of operation will be on April 30th. Construction on the new Dunkin Donuts is tentatively expected to begin in 2019.

While the Donut shoppe sells some products similar to Dunkin you can bet that Dunkin will charge more for their products. I love the Donut Shoppe and will miss their Donuts but I can understand the owner's wanting to retire and most likely getting a retirement sum for their existing business. Dunkin also was smart in knowing who their chief completion would be and eliminating it before building in the area.
