This should add fuel to my assertion re: area employers...

'The beauty of the Second Amendment is that it will not be needed until they try to take it.'

'When the people fear their government, there is tyranny; when the government fears the people, there is liberty.'

'And what country can preserve its liberties, if its rulers are not warned from time to time, that this people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms.'

'An elective despotism was not the government we fought for.' - Thomas Jefferson

Um.. Really none of the above.. lol..

I'm a stay at home mom/homemaker, which effectively, I don't get paid for Smiler I have one child, that I do feel like I am truly qualified to take care of, but in order to have my "job", it required my husband as well.. LOL!

I volunteer at a website as an admin and a graphics maker. At the time of joining the site, I was not qualified for adminship, I actually had to learn everything from scratch. As a graphics maker though, I feel I am qualified for it, as I've been an artist all my life. No formal training though.

Neither job am I paid for money wise. I get the satisfaction of being able to help in something larger than myself, and as the graphics go, I am able to give something to another that makes them smile. That is enough satisfaction for me. Smiler

So, Other it would be for me. Smiler

As one that has been on my share of interviews, I would think you left some options out of your poll. When you walk out of an interview thinking that it went good and hopes of a decent job are on the horizon, and what do you see sitting and waiting to interview next? A gorgeous blond woman!!! We can't compete with that in the job market.
Mott, as if it's any of your business, but hey, I don't mind answering that. I have a husband that works, and does not mind being the breadwinner of our family.

I sometimes, (rarely) sell my art, but I don't have time to do that much with it these days around a very rambunctious 2 year old. I plan on getting back to doing that when he gets a bit older. Maybe even going back to school to get some sort of art-related degree.

And your point is what, Mott? Do you keep a notebook on other people's replies here? *shakes head*

Yes, I do live with my mother, there are personal reasons, along with financial reasons, that I will not discuss here, as to why we do. But we do pay rent, and utilities, so if anything it's our house too. Smiler

It might be embarrassing to some people to admit they live in the same house as their mother/parents, but really with her work hours and schedule all together, I probably see her about 4 hours a day. So if that was your point, it didn't work. I'm not at all embarrassed about living with her. Seems like you have a problem with it though, since you are trying to stick your nose in my business. Smiler

Otherwise, your point would be what? I'm well aware that anything I post here, many prying eyes can see. If I post it here, then obviously it's not a private matter. Big Grin

You, my friend, really do need a hobby other than trying to pick on other people. I may answer you, but really you are getting mighty childish with it. And you say you are older than me, that makes it sad.

I do have to say though, your life must be pretty boring if the highlight of it is trying to step on people online.

You can try to feel superior to me all you want to, but that does not make it so. And the fact that I can actually treat people with respect even when they are trying to belittle me, says so much about my character. Big Grin

Mott, you definitely have selective reading. I'm not broke, not completely, but that's neither here nor there. That isn't any of your business.

What I do, a man such as yourself wouldn't consider work. But I do, I watch a 2 year old all day, I give him baths, make his meals, chase him around playing, and then cleaning up all the messes that he makes.

That might not seem like work to you, but it can be exhausting sometimes. Smiler I spend only segments of time on the computer any given minute (at least through the day). At night is when I do most of my admining, during the day I just chat with friends on the other site, and sometimes hop into a discussion here. (usually, sometimes I have to delete a post or handle a situation while chatting. Smiler )-had to clarify that. Smiler

My computer is on pretty much all day, but you can ask TD themselves just how much activity my account here really is active. Most the time it's either sitting on another page while I am browsing USM or both are open while me not being at the computer. I'm sure that if you could get that information, you'd see how true that is.

Now, to the accusation that your tax dollars are paying for my "playing" on the computer. Is it your mindframe that those of us that do not have much money, must be on welfare/assistance? I can assure you, I have never been on any kind of state aided assistance. We (my husband and I) may not have much, material wise, but we don't need assistance from any state agency to help us with our plight. We aren't that bad off.

You assume far too much, methinks it is a way of baiting others. I'm sorry that you have to resort to that kind of stuff to try to discredit me, and it doesn't work.

The only reason I keep even replying to you, is because maybe you will see passed your nose, and realize that there are good, honest people on this forum. I am not your wife or a relative of yours, and on this post I have not disrespected you once, so please don't talk down to me like you "Think" you know so much about me. Smiler I'd really appreciate at least that much courtesy from you, but something tells me, I wont get it.

This is the last reply that I /think/ I'll ever reply to you(for the simple reason that I don't know what the future entails on what I will reply to). I'm kind of tired giving you the benefit of the doubt that you are more than just a pot stirrer. Smiler *shrugs* It's really your loss, I make a hell of a friend. Big Grin

What is your problem here? You try to pick apart everything everyone says, or just those who are smarter than you are? Or are kinder???

And none of it is your business...

Remember... YOU ARE THE EX COP, figure it out yourself... lol

FatNoMo... Mott has been at her jugular since she joined here. She is very intelligent, very very talented, a great moderator, and a beautiful wife, mother and daughter... I don't see why he picks on her...

Afterall, it is ME he don't like... think he wants to get a rise out of ME by going through HER???

I think so... and if that is the case, he is a TRUE COWARD!!!!

Okay Mott, you want the WHOLE truth... EVERYONE LISTEN UP!!!!!

I had a horrible accident right after Manda and NP got married, they CHOSE to come stay with me to help me through five surgeries, etc etc....

Life has a way of changing, I am back at work, but I am disabled, what my disability is is none of YOUR business...

It is MY fault that Manda and her hubby had to move in here... but it is their choice to stay... Everything is just great and we have more than enough room to have 2 humble households....

She STILL helps me with my disability, and so does her hubby...

NOW YOU HAVE THE SCOOP, I HOPE YOU ARE HAPPY AND YOU CAN TAKE THIS TO YOUR GRAVE AND LEAVE MANDA OUT OF THIS... if it is ME you are after, be MAN ENOUGH to go after ME and leave her alone...

She has been NOTHING but kind to everyone on here, INCLUDING YOU...

Anymore of your attacks on her, then I won't only WRITE a letter to the TD, I will go over there in person and SPEAK TO THE MANAGER...

You are dead wrong in your "ASSUMPTIONS" and they are grating on more than just MY nerves... READ OTHER PEOPLE's REPLIES!!!!!! NO ONE seems to be liking your harassment one single bit.

Sorry for hijacking this post, but Mott started it, as usual.

I also have OTHER news for you, there is NO ONE in my entire family that has EVER used one dime of your or anyone else's tax dollars!!!! (IF you pay taxes, that is) NO ONE in my entire family has ever drawn a dime's worth of food stamps... NO ONE in my family has ever done ANYTHING but make a decent living for ourselves.. So get it straight BEFORE you go getting your mouth/type in gear....

Anymore personnel questions????

And I have still (Thank God) not had to EVER draw any type of disability monies... I may have to someday, but if I do, it will be on MY dime, lol...
