Gov. to seek insurance for all children
Illegal immigrants would be covered in his plan to overhaul the state health-care system.

ACRAMENTO — Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger will propose that all Californian children, including those in the state illegally, be guaranteed medical insurance as part of the health-care overhaul he intends to unveil next week, according to officials familiar with the plan.

If enacted by the Legislature, his proposal would affect about 763,000 children who now lack insurance. Although the administration has not revealed details of how it would pay for such a program, officials estimate that extending insurance to all children could cost the state as much as $400 million a year.

Take a good look at this, folks.

Whatever Kalifornia does, the winds blow generally from west to east along the jet stream. This act will blow east, and infect the rest of the states...further eroding our national identity, straining further our already cash-strapped public services, and lead to more human flooding from south of the border.

Might as well completely open the borders of the U.S. and tell everyone to come on in...free this and that for everyone....

What ya'll need to do is go down to the emergency room sometimes and just sit around. You'll find that we the taxpayers are already paying for these children's healthcare. They use the ER like a doctors office so when someone who REALLY has an emergency comes in they have to wait their turn. And, if the un-insured don't go to the ER to be treated we still pay for it because they go to school and give it to our kids or grandkids and we have to pay for them to go to the doctor. At least if they're insured there is a chance the system will catch the illegals in the bunch.

If we could only sell kalifornia to the Native Americans for say 24 bucks.Only if they would be a self-governing Nation.It would clear up the different reservations and give the Native Americans a real ecomonic boost. Of course the U.S. could have no say in how they would handle the illegals there, as long as they were not shipped to one of our 49 states left. I'm sure some of the old ways could be reinstated.
Not sure how many ant hills are there however.

Your list is wonderful. Except for the second to last, which is incapable of being proven, that sounds like a list that we should all be behind.

I see Jesus' name thrown around a lot here, so I guess I'll do it once. The advent of healthcare being accessible to all citizens sounds exactly like something Jesus would want. Why are people so against a person's right to be healthy. For every ridiculous "moocher" story, there are plenty of people who are desperate for help who are suffering.

Being healthy should not be a luxury.

I'm so glad that some politicians are recognizing the common bond we share as humans. We are all simply humans! It is difficult to read posts like this that are looking to promote the neglect of children. I know your replies will all smell of the "citizenship" argument, but good God, have a heart.
