I just have one observation about the story in the paper this morning. The most recent family to receive a home has four children and another on the way! They received a four bedroom home. Will they stop having children when they fill all the bedrooms? It takes boatloads of money to provide for your family in today's world. I realize it is an individual's right to have as many children as you want, but do they not realize that the more children they have, the more impoverished they will be?
I really don't mean to be cruel, but it just makes sense to me that if you can't afford to take care of your family, you should stop having kids.
I totally have to agree. I understand about the Thompson family needing some assistance being a single parent home and apparently the father wasnt contributing. But, the Lawson family is apparently a 2 parent home with a 5th child on the way. Maybe after having 1 kid if things started getting tight get on some birth control and STOP HAVING CHILDREN!!!! This makes me so mad. My husband and I own our own home. Things are tight but we make it just fine with a little money left over to go out to eat, go on a vacation, etc but we by no means have enough money extra to have children yet so we havent had any!!! I can afford $15 a month for my birth control so that's what I do! I dont have children and then expect the government to assist me in raising them because my husband and I didn't think things thru and just expected that someone would help us. Ok, I'm going to get off my soap box. I'm sure the Lawson's are very nice people, but good grief, you might could afford a nice house or heck even a nicer trailer if you would stop having children.
