Half full or half empty

The glass is always half full, of course! But it's getting it full enough for EVERYone to get their thirst quenched that we're after, right?

I do agree with you, though...if you are unwilling to try anything because of negativity, you'll stay where you are while the world moves on without you. I'm positive we can makes the Shoals area a better place...I hope those who will make decisions about the area's future feel the same and, IMO, are willing to play to the area's strengths.

I have to agree with Sweettart on this one: either way it is HALF a glass! What paradox I subscribe to is more about truth and honesty: Don't Pee on my leg and tell me it's raining! THE DOG

There is a lot of negativity in this area. We have a beautiful place to live and work and all many can do is complain. Every time I leave The Shoals, I am sure glad to see that awesome river upon my return.

However, to some people, the thought of progress is appealing and they will do anything to protect the status quo. We've got to move forward and attract a more educated resident base. That is the way to grow a city and become prosperous.
