Most states have a commission that regulates and oversees insurance companies. I wonder where California's is, or who is paying off whom. I don't normally buy into most conspiracy theories, but I also know that many people in government abuse their power and enrich themselves at the expense of the public trust.
And just thinking about CA makes me toss in my long held belief that it should be cut up into three different states. Same with FL.
