Sure it is. Go to historical copies of the Times Daily and look at the help wanted section of the paper in 2009 and look at the help wanted section today. After that, you can't deny there is a lot more jobs to be had now.

No it is not true. Jt, you are such a dimwit. A tool for the left. Dire, notice how, when Jt couldn't get anywhere defending Obamadontcare, he tries to take the thread off subject with the left's lie about low unemployment.

Either, knowingly, or naturally, JT displays an inability to understand facts and, like the scarab, assumes that what is in front of him represents the entire world. He states the economy in the 1980s, including construction, was poor.  He claims to deduce that from conditions in the Shoals area.  For the Shoals, it was.  However, Atlanta was booming, as was most of the nation.

Presently, the new jobs created are mostly low income and part time.  One may see that from observing the underemployment/unemployment stat -- the U6.  The GDP growth is the worst in over 100 years, so little new wealth is being created.  More businesses are failing, than being created. Yet, for the Dems, its all roses and sunshine.

In 2009, at the end of the Bush presidency, anyone that wanted to work was working. Oscumbo was just getting started. Another thing I despise about you demoslops is when legal, born in the US citizens are suffering because of you slops, you claim they aren't, as if they are lying, and double down on the things you do for and give the illegals and other foreigners to buy votes to keep the corrupt, anti-American POS in office. In effect, what I see you saying is that after oscumbo ruined peoples' lives he now has a few crumbs to toss them, and they should rejoice and put an even more corrupt demoslop in office. That's why I say YOU should be in their shoes. YOU should have one of oscumbo's part-time jobs and worthless obamadontcare insurance with a $7800.00 deductible.

Dire, I do understand what I lived through. In the early 1980's, work was plentiful, by the mid 1980s, work had dried up. In Atlanta, you may have saw a lot of interstate construction as you went to you office job, but typical construction was dead. If anyone worked on the SDI stuff, they could make a lot of money. I knew some engineers at the Redstone Arsenal that made tons of money.

Presently, the new jobs created are mostly low income and part time.                          Whose fault is that? The presidents or the CEO's of the businesses.  How many are moving out of the US and getting a bonus for moving?

Best, that's not a normal lie, that's total ignorance.

You also say that you wish I had a part time job, Obama care with a $7800 deductible. I suppose that would be the worst treatment that you could give me. I suppose the worst treatment I could wish for you would be for you to work for someone as bitter as you.

Show that it is not true. You can't. When you get into your story telling and lies you forget that people know better than the crap you're slinging. Again, I posted that I wished YOU had what you wish on others since you see nothing wrong with what the slops have done to the country. You'd really be wailing then. Ah, the "bitter" card. Just one more tired old card the slops drag out when they simply have no argument. "Waaaa-She's telling me the truth so I'll call her bitter". Bitter is YOU, griping about what others have and thinking it should be forcibly taken from them and given to you.

First, as to the construction boom in the 1980s

As to your last paragraph, JT, you really don't think things thru, do you?

The present administration added $400 billion in regulatory costs to the already $1.5 trillion in such costs.  Add, the highest corporate tax rate in the developed world and its no wonder businesses are leaving.

The part time jobs are an answer to Obamacare requirements.  Business is in a survival mode, not an expansion mode thanks to the anti-business climate of the present maladministration.

uring the 1980s, commercial real estate construction exploded. Inthe 1970s, 300 billion real dollars (in 1991 terms) were invested incommercial real estate. In the 1980s, this investment increased 57percent to 470 billion real dollars.

Show that it is not true. You can't.

Bureau of labor statistics:  unemployment 2009=9.3%, 2015= 5.3%. that's approaching half the unemployment.                                                                                  Also, if and when you post and say I wish bad things on others, that is a total lie. Remember, I'm the soft hearted democratic.

I read your source. You can take it two ways. I do think a lot of things through, the common thread on a lot of wrongs is greed. The one who signs the paychecks gets a bonus when the plant is moved to a foreign country.

I said prove it. Tell that lie about how soft hearted and caring you are to someone stupid enough to believe it.
