Richie McDonald was the lead singer for Lonestar and had a lot of success with that group. If you liked them, you will probably like him (if that particular genre is your thing).
McDonald will probably put on a good show. He was on tour with Jim Brickman last year and they did a show here in Montgomery before the holidays. My wife covered it and interviewed them after the show (she works in broadcast news) and told me that he was a very nice guy that was very fan-oriented and one of the best sounding live performers she has heard (meaning he sounds as good in person as on a CD...no need for studio "smoke and mirrors").
Knowing the festival demographics, it may be a good choice and I am sure he will do a good job.

I'm one of the Silver sponsors this year. I hope everyone will come out and have a great time! Don't forget about the Lucky Ducky Derby. It's a great fundraiser and a lot of fun, too, particularly for the kiddos.
Can they never get a rock act? I like country as much as the next guy and I know that they have to appeal to alot of country listeners, but I'd love to see a classic rock band in there one year just to shake things up. Certainly they couldn't cost more.
