PBA: ENOUGH ALREADY! Who do you think you are the AP wire? You have clogged this board with newstories like you were Walter Cronkite himself. I don't know about everyone else, I vowed to ignore you but this is getting to the point of ridiculous! GO TO A NATIONAL BOARD AND LEAVE THIS ONE ALONE! There are plenty out there. You obviously don't know or don't care what is happening in the Shoals area and I for one will tell what I know A LOT of posters are wishing, that you would disappear! THE DOG

The whole issue is completely idiotic. The military doesn't have a problem with having gay people *in* the military, they just have a problem with *knowing* that gay people are in the military. That's why it's "don't ask don't tell".

Speaking of......The first injured soldier of the Iraq war was Staff Sargent Eric Alva of San Antonio Texas. He was awarded the Purple Heart, and was visited in the hospital by Bush Jr. and Laura, Rummy, and a long list of our leaders. He also happens to be gay. Stepped on a land mine.

MADDOG... I saw this on the News night before last... as I am sure you did too...

As a former Navy WIFE, I certainly would NOT have liked my hubby being on a ship with a gay man, that would have bothered me... no reason for it though, but it still would have. Now that they have women aboard ship, I guess that would bother me also... its a situation that ya can't win for losing, I guess... LOL...

You cannot block because it keeps on coming through, that is obvious or you wouldnt have made this post...

I know where you are coming from though. I like coming on here reading posts that are local or at least challenging, not what I hear on the News every day... I am going to just have to stay away from them... I hear it on the news, and I don't feel like typing in retoric about my opinion, especially since no one in the military CARES one whit about what "I" think about gays in the Military... they dont care what ANY of us think about it, so it is a moot point, and non-debatable.

Thought he wasn't supposed to tell Eeker AND I thought they weren't supposed to ask Eeker Eeker

One of the newscasters said that it would be hell to make it through the War and accidently get blood you and then be HIV positive.... cruel statement!!!!
