This appears to be a typical end user license agreement that you must agree to before using a particular piece of software. I didn't think anyone read those.

I suspect the TD has made some slight modifications to the Eve software and don't want it stolen or used elsewhere without permission/compensation.

The statement means you can make an archival copy for yourself. But, you can't make copies to distribute to others or reverse engineer the software for anyone's use. basic stuff.

If I am not mistaken, you can turn PMs of in your profile, so that no one can send you a message. Considering, some of the things he/she posted, maybe that is what he/she did, for fear of being bombarded with them. Just an idea.
