"Rest assured," the letter states, "that it will not be a problem if you are unable or unwilling to provide either of the documents."
Then why even bother?!?! If the law is the law, why do the "officials" skirt around it? IMO, it's all about money and politics -- and not in a good way. The schools don't care if the child is legal or not because they get funding based on the ADA (average daily attendance). Who cares that most, if not all, of these children are receiving free lunches at the tax payers' expense. I don't have a problem with anyone being here to try and better themselves, but you need to be here legally!!! If you're going to dip into the pool where all my tax money goes, then you need some of your own in there. The big politicians want to keep them here - illegally or not - so that they can get their vote. And again... why not? As long as the government that is in place now will continue to support them, then the illegals will keep them in office. Kind of an oxymoron, don't you think? You have to be a legal citizen to vote, but somehow the illegals are allowed to vote to keep the people in office who don't mind that they are here illegally (and breaking the law), but that's okay. I know I've seen many say it on here but really, What part of illegal don't you get?!
