Hi Dark,
When one person takes the life on another person -- that is murder. You may call it what you like. But, most of the world calls this murder. And, a large percentage of abortions, as Chick has told us, are gruesome and cruel methods of taking life -- at any age. Medical science has proven, in courts, that the fetus does feel pain.
Imagine the pain that child feels when its legs, arms, and head -- are ripped from its body by the abortionist's tools. That is as bad as, or even worse than, the Molech sacrifices of the Old Testament when pagans burned babies to death to appease their god, Molech.
You tell us in an earlier post, "A fetus is not a person yet. It is a potential person, but not yet what an elderly person is."
What is a "potential person"? Is the fetus the same as an elderly person? No. Why? Because the fetus has not yet been allowed to live to old age. However, given that its mother and an abortion doctor do not take the life of that fetus (murder? yes) -- that fetus will most likely live a long life -- possibly even to the point of becoming elderly.
How can you say that you, or anyone else, has the right to deprive this child of that opportunity?
Dark, you tell Chick, "If there are women that use abortion as birth control the numbers are extremely low."
Is that only YOUR opinion? Or, do you have facts to support this statement? Many of us have known people who used abortion as their preferred method of birth control. I knew a young lady in Seattle, less than 30 years old, who had already had 6 abortions. Personally, although I cannot give you supported statistics, I believe the number of people using abortion as their preferred method of birth control would most likely shock all of us.
Dark, I am not condemning any woman who has already had an abortion. No one needs to do that; her conscience, in many cases, is already doing that. I do not condemn women who have had abortions in the past.
But, for those who are contemplating abortions, for those who are still willing to use abortion for birth control -- I say shame on you. No one has a right to take the life of another human being.
Already I can see some of my dedicated followers taking pen in hand, or actually fingers to keyboards, eager to write the question, "Bill, you say that you do not believe that anyone has the right to take another human life. What about capital punishment? Do you believe in that?"
I do not support capital punishment. Personally, I believe life in prison with no parole is much greater punishment in this life. And, in the next, God will deal with this person. Let the killer sit in prison for many years, with absolutely NO possibility of parole -- thinking about the day he/she has to face God.
My Friends, that is true punishment.
God bless, have a wonderful, blessed day,
Bill
