We listened to George W. Bush and what did we get? A war in Iraq looking for WMDs that didn't exist. An economy that is busted after George made sure all his buddies made money off the war and he ignored domestic policy. People out of work. I don't think anybody wants to hear from George any more. I'm just thankful we didn't listen to his idiotic ideas such as privatizing social security. We would be in a much worse mess now.

I'm curious how privatizing social security would have made things worse. It certainly would have given government a smaller pot to raid to provide entitlements. Now it seems there is a push on to go the diametrically opposite direction..eliminate private pension plans and 401ks and have the government handle all that.

Like a poster said, these are the same people who couldn't turn a profit running a bordello and selling liquor. Rough enough I HAVE to trust them with my social security contributions; now they seem to want it all.
