Why don't the Republicans give up

With such intelligent Americans you would think the Republicans would just give up and allow Franken to be Senator in Minnesota. We know there is no way that Franken was not elected for ONLY Evil Republicans fix elections, cheat, double vote, and register people that shouldn't be able to vote. Democrats never do that. Remember how George Bush stole Florida in 2000 and then stole Ohio in 2004?

Well Democrats, the party of the only honest Americans made sure that the Evil Republicans wouldn't steal this years election. The Democrats had the un-reproachable dependable and honest outfit called ACORN making sure that everything was above board and that there would be no irregularities this time around.

Finally an HONEST election

Yet the Republicans keep on fighting and I just can't imagine why?

Be as the Bereans ( Acts 17:11 )

You are right about it being a problem for Minnesota for only they can do something about it however I subject that it also has national implications because of the number of votes in the Senate. It's Minnesota's issue but if there is election fraud then it certainly effects us all even if it is for a Senate position so to that effect we all have interest in the outcome.

I, for one, believe that this election will be won by the liberal Democrat but I believe it will be won dishonestly and that there was massive voter fraud by the ACORN organization and I think the rest of the country will be effected as long as the Senate numbers are what they are.

If the option is al fartkin, Minnesota AND the nation is better off without representation.
You know real Republicans aren't so bad, the Rockefeller, Goldwater, Buckley ones that are the real ones, that you could be happy voting for. The problems started when they started using these ignorant lower educated southern brand of voters letting them think they were good enough to be Republicans so the Real Republicans would have enough votes to put their people in office. You know the type that would be better off with the wealthy paying their share that they can get to vote for keeping the real wealthy republicans taxes low while cutting out services to the rubes voting for them. All they had to do was publish voter lists and pass them out in the southern baptist church houses with pictures so they'd know who to vote for. So please you sheet wearing rubes don't confuse yourself with real good Republicans.

What? I'm sorry but this type of post ticks me off. If you have something to say, please say it with taste. We have some regulars who use bad taste and it makes this forum troubling.

It is okay to say that you believe the direction of the Republican Party has changed. I too believe that it has changed. But I think many people have good intentions. I don't think your classification of people is correct or healthy.
I stick by my statement that it is Minnesota's problem. The country was formed as a union of states that choose their representation. I believe history shows us that our country was founded on the union of states, not on the balance of political agendas as a whole. If Minnesota can't manage itself then it is missing out. The same was true of Illinois when they had the whole Senate seat and governor problem. It is up to that state to work it out.
The courts of Minnesota seem not to have regarded Franken's majority as a product of Acorn's activism. It is time for sore losers to give up and seat the duly elected candidate. It is also time for sore losers to stop seizing on the Acorn argument every time their candidates are defeated in recounts or otherwise by close margins. Franken is a very bright guy, as you could discover by reading his books, which are very literate and very persuasive (to reasonable persons). Call him unintelligent if you wish, but he was intelligent enough to mount a campaign that defeated the incumbent! He WILL be seated as the junior senator from Minnesota, so get over it!

Whether you agree with him or not, he is intelligent.

I wouldn't argue that point because I know my opinion, and no one is going to change it. I will however argue that he was/is NEVER funny.

Okay, okay... Al Franken is a complete idiot. So shoot me, I argued when I said I wouldn't...
Bamason, I hear you, but their are some on this forum who use it for entertainment purposes. I agree with you about all the name calling, you would think grown adults could disagree without all the name calling and put downs but that is what our political system in this country has come to. FIGHTING AMOUNG OURSELVES!!!
