Hi all,
Herman Cain seems to have all the right ingredients to be a good leader. However, the one reservation I have, and I will admit it is not fair -- is that I still have the bad taste of another "dark horse" candidate from Georgia, also Baptist (which is a good thing - if he is a conservative Baptist) who jumped into the presidential fracas in 1975 and became our president.
At first, I was excited to have a Southerner, who was a Christian, as our president. It did not take me long to understand that he was most likely the worst president we have had in a very long time -- and, also, that he was, and is, a Very, Very Liberal Baptist. As a matter of fact, Old Jimmy stood so far left that his church had to build a new annex extending the left side of the sanctuary. Okay, that part is a joke -- but, a very applicable joke.
My only serious reservation with Herman Cain is his lack of name recognition other than in the South. But, that would not stop me from voting for him if he made a serious, supported run for the office. That apparent differences between Cain -- and our current "Oval Office Squatter" are like night and day.
However, if Cain ran as a third party candidate -- I believe this will only dilute the Republican party vote and hand the White House back to the "American imposter" for another four disastrous years.
Just my thoughts.
God bless, have a wonderful, blessed day,
Bill
