Mine has to do with my Native American heritage and personal ideals I hold dear. If you've ever seen 'Last of the Dogmen' with Tom Beringer and Barbara Hershey, you'll know what I'm talking about.

'The beauty of the Second Amendment is that it will not be needed until they try to take it.'

'When the people fear their government, there is tyranny; when the government fears the people, there is liberty.'

'And what country can preserve its liberties, if its rulers are not warned from time to time, that this people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms.'

'An elective despotism was not the government we fought for.' - Thomas Jefferson

Mine came from one of the best friends I had in my lifetime, who was brutally murdered by her husband... We were and still are Kindred, and the Spirit was added after hear death...

two ways to look at it.

'ms' could stand for Mississippi, where I had been living until Katrina OR it could be the 'ms' as in the choices between 'miss', 'ms' or 'mrs'.

'crone' is, to me, an honorable word, taken from long ago days when postmenopausal women or women over a certain age were honored as the wise women of their tribe or clan. Am I wise? *shrug* Don't know, won't say, but I am of that age!

LOL MsCrone!!! You remind me of me... I told a supervisor at work just last week that "I just wear this dumb look for protection".. ... And have also said many times, "PLEASE dont make me prove to you that I am not dumb, because I will win" and one of my favorites is "Your FIRST mistake was thinking I was dumb"... LOL...that always works too, because people often make the mistake that if people are quiet, and put up with things to keep peace, that they are dummies... and like I said, that is their FIRST mistake with me... have proven many of them wrong!!! And that is so true too!!! I LOVE being quiet... and then talk when it 'counts'... OH, and I am mainly talking about my career here... and I have been there nearly 27 years, so something works... lol.

The three weapons above are various versions of the Bren Ten 10mm Auto pistol. In production from 1983-86. Extremely rare and valuable.
The bottom one is mine, top two belong to a friend of mine. Mine is a replica of the Bren Ten as seen on Miami Vice from 1984-86 (seasons 1-2, the two years with the black Ferrari Daytona Spyder). That was my favorite TV show back then, and I had to have Crockett's pistol. It took me 12-13 years of searching, and having the money at the same time, to get one.

Probably the most accurate stock-production pistol I have ever fired.

From what I hear, the MAGs are worth more than the gun! BTW...did you know that 'Sonny's' Ferrari was a 'mock up'? Reportedly, a Ferrari body on a Corvette chassis. I love 'Miami Vice' trivia Big Grinrivia....

Currently, GunBroker.com on the internet has a few Bren Tens for sale...minimum bid: $2000.00

Magazines are hard to find, but out there. Generally they are in the $110-$150 range. So, no, the mags are not worth more than the gun. I paid $110 per mag right after I bought my gun in 2000. I paid $1500 for it out the door at a gunshow in Dallas, TX in 2000. Cost was not an issue as this was my dream gun/Holy Grail of my collection. Oh, it is cool to shoot...like shooting a .41 mag out of a semi-auto. I can't shoot it at an indoor range because the flame coming out obscures the target too much.

FYI, yes, I knew about the Franken-Ferrari Daytona. The one on Miami Vice is the European version, with clear covers over the lights. The American version has folding headlight covers. See episode One Way Ticket, season two. The lawyer Thurman is driving a real Ferrari Daytona 365 GTB Spyder. It has the folding headlights.

Ferrari was kinda outraged about the most popular TV show at the time having a Franken-Ferrari...so they donated 2 Testaroosa's. Catch was, the producers had to destroy the fake 365 GTB Daytona....see When Irish Eyes are Crying, season 3. The arms dealer blows it up with a Stinger missile. Was this real or TV trickery? I think the latter....

That sounds like our DOG!!! Smiler
Im unoriginal in that my sign in name here is actually My real first name just without the A. Smiler

However, it's not my usual sign in name (korngurlamanda) because I've had that one for years, and people seem to think when reading that these days, that I am a kid... lol.. And plus, I use that on another site that I help admin for, so, I felt like seperating the two. Smiler

I like simplicity, sometimes my memory stinks.

from the angle of the shot, I would guess the photographer was in a life raft. I am surprised the picutre survived the passing of the plane.
It is a great picture though.

I came up with mine, as the name implies, just reflecting one of the voices in my head. but to my chagrin and frankly some of your expectiations my head didnt fit. I thought it anecdotal and amusing. So with a wry grin I am reflecting one of many voices. I do seem to annoy more people than intended, but I am who I am. Its a pity an opposing viewpoint or rather lack of complete agrrement in a forum is viewed with such animosity. Honestly, I am a nice guy, ask my mama ........
