I just wish the election was over.  It's been almost 18 months of complete political torture.

What's so frustrating is that the "mainstream media's" head is in the sand.  They make mountains out of minor issues like Romney's income tax returns when there's a strong chance the Iran/Israel conflict could end up as WW III.

And O'Bama's been spending his time on Letterman instead of meeting with Bibi Netanyahu.  This week, a bunch of world leaders are at the UN, and O'Bama only has time to be with "the girls" on The View.  Right now, we don't have a president.

It's time to send O'Bama back to the corruption hole he came out of--Chicago.  He's proven that leadership is just not in him.

Sorry, but it's the truth.

I'm guessing you were trying to say: Not dumb enough to vote for Romney.

So why exactly is paying what is due a crime? Do you send twice as much as you owe because it is 'patriotic' to pay taxes? Do you pay twice as much for gas because you want to?

Being 'dumb' is wanting all the people who have more money than you to be taxed a 100 times more.

all i did was quote your man, romney... "if you pay more than you are legally required to pay... you aren't qualified to be president"... and he said this... before he paid more than he was legally required to pay.

by his own admission, he's not qualified to be president. now, we gotta get you rt. wingnuts to understand that!

But, of course, the bar for 'stupid' is set very low after the community organize/faux lawyer got in.

___

You misquoted Romney. Here is Romney's actual take on the matter of paying more tax than is due:

<<<But Romney only reached the 14.1 percent mark by limiting deductions taken from his considerable charitable giving. Had the Romneys taken all of the deductions made available by their $4.02 million in 2011 donations, his effective tax rate could have been as low as 10.4 percent.

By not using all the available deductions, he paid an additional $500,000 to the federal government.

That decision contradicts a pledge Romney made during an interview in July, when he told ABC News he would not pay more in taxes "than are legally due. And, frankly, if I had paid more than are legally due I don't think I'd be qualified to become president. I'd think people would want me to follow the law and pay only what the tax code requires."

Romney made a similar remark in January during a GOP primary debate, when he said, "I pay all the taxes that are legally required and not a dollar more. I don't think you want someone as the candidate for president who pays more taxes than he owes.">>>

Last week, the TV news, network and cable, repeatedly  ran a clip of Romney's statement on paying more taxes than the tax code requires. He said precisely what is quoted in the next-to-last paragraph above.  Contrary to your  attempt to characterize the matter, he did NOT say that if he paid more than was legally due that he would be stupid.  If you can site some other context in which he said what you claim he said, then I suggest that you provide a citation to back up your assertion.  Otherwise, we will conclude that you just made it up or got hosed by some other wing nut.

=============================

No reason for the press to do so, first, Clinton is not running for office, and second he talks about his low tax rate all the time. Kinda like "dog bites man"  just not news.

By not using all the available deductions, he paid an additional $500,000 to the federal government.

So using his own statement, he is NOT qualified to become president because he DID pay more than was legally due.

And using common sense and logic, he is not qualified to become president because he talks out of both sides of his mouth.

I can not believe that Liberals are complaining that Romney paid to much in taxes by not declaring all his deductions. How many Liberals pay more than they can when it comes to taxes? Lets see all those Hollywood types returns, just two years would be plenty and let's see all of the Congressional members taxes to make sure they are paying their fair share. Oh wait, Congress does not pay income taxes on its salary. Oh snap!

Bulldog, can't you read? No one is complaining that Romney paid too much in taxes, just pointing out his hypocracy. You know, first he said it wouldn't be right to pay more than he legally owes, and then because he's afraid people will denigrate him for paying such a small percentage, he pays more than he legally owes. He is trying to please everyone to get their votes, and to me it shows that he has no backbone, no ethics, and no common sense.

What is altogether weird and devious about Romney paying more tax than required is that he did it in order to validate his earlier statements that he paid 14 percent or less of his adjusted gross income in federal income taxes over the last several years. His accountant actually provided a written statement acknowledging this device.  What Romney can do, however, within three years of filing his 2011 return, is file an amended return reporting ALL his charitable contributions and obtaining a refund based on the difference in income between the returns. WHEN he loses the election, that is what he will most likely do--the faker!  Even if he wins the election, he probably will have the brass to file and request the refund.

The ONLY reason he paid more taxes than were required was to artificially engineer his taxes to 14 percent so he would not show up as any more of a faker than he has already shown himself to be.

What a dawg the GOP has hooked up with this time!  Load him in a car-top cage and send him back to Massachusetts, Utah, Michigan, or any other place that will provide a retirement home for

wooden, plastic, constantly-morphing phonies!

I believe Romney's character is better than what you say he might do. Now your god Al Gore only contributed almost $200 during his run for the Presidency and that sounds more like what a Liberal will do. They can fix the problem as long as they spend someones money. Obama is paying for all the social programs he can dream of but is using our wallets. The government does not make money but takes it from the populace. No government agency makes money except the Federal Reserve and Congress can not spend that fast enough.

So the better educated people who live in states where unions aren't seen as the creation of the devil and who earn more income will vote for Obama?

And those less educated who are stuck in low wage, at will employment, right to work states and agree with free market globalist Republicans who think its OK to hide millions offs**** to avoid taxes, like to fire people, and see nothing wrong with closing down thousands of factories, moving the jobs overseas, putting millions out of a job will vote for Romney?
