253---There used to be a girl in Muscle Shoals that had my exact name (f,m,l)-- She got a lot of calls that were not meant for her I"m sure -- I called and apologized one day for it (long story as to why) -- So then last summer I got a phone call from a wedding planning place that said they had my cake ready for my event -- I was sad to inform them they had the wrong girl and was able to direct them to her -- I bet she is so happy now!!!! I hope at least....
There are 1,546 people in the U.S. named the same as me! I've found a few of them...

I've worked with a girl with my exact name (first and last). We both worked for a large apparel manufacturer in Georgia, but in separate offices. Here's how we found out about each other:

I go by an abbreviated version of my first name, but when they set up my email they used my proper name. It was a little weird, being in a new place where no one knew me and having to explain "well, I go by this name, but my given name is something else". I asked the IT guy if my email could please be changed to reflect the name I go by. He said that no, it was company policy that emails be your legal first name (.) your legal last name @company.com Frowner I sucked it up and just accepted that I'd have to explain my name 100,000 times. For the first month I was getting all these random emails and I thought nothing of it. Then I got a report with a bunch of people's names, salaries, birthdays, and other info. That seemed odd (I was a technical writer) so I asked my boss about it. Seems the "other" me worked in HR! Since we had the same name (and thus same email address) we were sharing one big email box. Needless to say, the IT department made an exception and my email address was changed to mynickname.lastname@company.com immediately!
I have an unusual first name. Once while taking a tour of Ruby Falls in Chattanooga, I heard a lady angrily say "*****, if you dont be still I am gonna smack you". (It was my name - at that time I had never met anyone else with the same name.) I turned and said: "what did I do?". I thought my mother was on the tour. To date, I have never met anyone except that little kid in a cave with the same name.
