Gonzales role in fired prosecutors
Sorry--haven't learned the trick of posting a url yet...

I am a Democrat and I have pretty liberal views on most things. However, I have never been one who insists that democrats are always right and republicans are always wrong. I just don't know how many more lies and excuses this administration can give before the American public becomes fed up with it all!? Most administrations get by with alot but this one has gotten away with extreme amounts of things.
If Tyranny and Oppression come to this land, it will be in the guise of fighting a foreign enemy. – James Madison

This administration had no mandate from the very start. Their "pass" to do as they please was 9/11. America ,at its most vunerable, trusted bush to do the very best for us. His administration has abused that trust. He wasted a great opportunity to unite this country and make for himself a great legacy. He failed. I can hear him quacking now.

meanasasnake... you are so right... Bush innaugrated in Jan 2001, and in Sept 2001 we had 9/11 happen... And since then, he has written a "blank check" ... and yes, he really violated the trust that people had in him... he had almost the ENTIRE Nation behind him after 9/11... Including myself.. trusting him to do the right thing...

Well HE showed us just HOW MUCH he could do... he showed us how much a Prez can lie, he showed us that he can ignore a judges ruling, (CAN WE????) He showed us that nothing in our futures are stable anymore... Our economy sux and our deficit is the highest it has ever even thought about being... Yep, he showed us, alright!!!

And I am like bamagurl ... it is TIME he took responsibility for HIS ACTIONS, instead of standing in front of National Television letting us KNOW he was going to do WHAT he wanted, WHEN he wanted, no matter what...

Now, THAT is a President FOR THE PEOPLE... errrrrrr.......... ummmmmmmmm...... or is it?

No, it is not!!!!

No one really cares about the attorneys. This is just being used to smear the administration.

I think this young lady is talking WAY more than just the firings... I think she is talking about the firings just being the last strraw of what people can take of GWB's AGENDA... it is so sad to see nearly 80% of this country trying their darndest to let Washington KNOW they are NOT buying into Bush anymore... sad indeed!!!

Just to clarify - The fact that Bush can fire the attorneys is not in question. The problem is that the fired attorneys are saying that the reason they were fired was that they were not loyal "Bushies" (quote from a U.S.D.J. official). They say that Senators and other officials pressured them to prosecute administration enemies (Democrats) more agressively, and to lighten up on administration friends (Republicans). This is illegal. Period - end of story. This is not just for fun - its tampering with the U.S. judicial system for political purposes. Remember - the fired prosecutors were all REPUBLICAN. I know its hard to accept, but sometimes those on the right handle things badly. When they do - they have to pay the price just like everyone else. Its time to accept the fact that America's welfare is more important than that of Mr. bush.
