Most Atheists have some moral deficiency in their life that constricts them from believing in God. It is usually due to some mental complex that inhibits them from acknowledging anything greater then themselves. Superiority complex’s manifest in this fashion. The moral spectrum of this is infinite, homosexuality, addiction, lust, greed and so on. The basic mental delusion does not allow for the existence of God, not so much of the fact that there is or is not a God, but ideally that if there is a God then I must adhere to His will. And this my friends is the route of the problem.

Absolutely amazing! Problem solved!

I'm sure. Plagerising Blaise Pascal is always particularly effective at riling-up those wascallly atheists.

That silly couple was probably wondering how to inform you that the only reason you worship the God you know and love is 'cause you were born here in Jesusland, USA. If you were born elsewhere, you would be worshiping elsewhere's God. What if your worshiping the wrong one?

What if there is a god that rewards honest reasoning/rational thought and instead punishes blind or feigned faith? How bad would that suck!

Sorry Skeptik, but am from one of the top 3 meanest towns in the US. Set the Shoals in the middle of it and you wouldn't know it was there.
And am answering you honest reasoning/rational thought so am covered in that way also. Isn't the Lord Great!

Child abuse. That irritates me.

That is where you are not alone. Child abuse is bad regardless if you are a Christian or an Atheist. Child abuse is not limited one group or the other. Child abuse is not limited to your view of child abuse or my view. You can yell, spank or even put that child in time out and in the eyes of a by-stander it can be viewed as abuse. I am sure there have been many judicial cases of that very instance.

Just because someone says they are a Christian and have views such as the Phelps does not make them a Christian. As Bill Gray has said many times in his writings; the word Christian means Christ follower. If any person including myself, Neal, Monet, Bill etc. claim to be a Christian then their heart has to be fashioned after Jesus' heart. Studying the Gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John and even the writs of the apostles you can see clearly that Jesus was a teacher of piece, love for fellowman, salvation from the terrible places, situations, and from terrible sins in life.

With this being said, I must also make sure it is understood that in Jesus' teachings he talked of turning away from the sins a person does. When he addressed the prostitute and the Priests, he told them; (you without sin cast the first stone) and they had to leave. But we must also note that he told the prostitute; ("paraphrased" - where are your judges, they have left you, they condemn you not, nor do I; your sins have been forgiven you; go and sin no more).

Many of you will say that He never bashed or brow beat anyone for their sins; and you would be correct however He did let the world know that sin is not tolerated. It was not to condemn the world that Jesus came but to save the world from their problems, issues & sins. He condemns no-one, it is the responsibility of yourselves to live the virtuous ways that Jesus taught. It is the responsibility of you all once you dedicate living a life for him to abstain from sin and to teach others to abstain. This lifestyle or better yet this relationship with Christ is far better than the ways of the world.

Now back to the letter from the atheist about Nate and his father Phelps. You see, the main view that is missed when someone preaches about Hell fire and brimstone. Including when the Atheists preach about it, is as follows! THE MAIN POINT IS:

Even in teachings of heaven & hell the love of God can still be seen, even you "free thinkers" have to understand the term "cause and effect". You practice it with everyone in your every day life. If your child hits you, you punish that child for striking you. If your family member or friend goes out drinking and driving and wrecks and dies; it is cause and effect. Even if they don't die and only destroy their car; they are still punished further by the judicial system. It is in no way that we can get around this judicial system. We are liable for the things we do in this life, if we live righteously through the blood of Jesus Christ then it is accounted to us as being innocent before God.

Hell was never meant to scar or scare anyone emotionally, just like spanking your child is never meant to scar or scare them, it was only taught about for the simple reason that we do have to answer for the wicked or wrong things we do in this life.

The beauty of it all to the ones who truly understand the teachings of the Bible; (Christians) we know that while we have to live in this life and face obstacles, troubles & trials. We don't have to worry about the punishment of Hell. For this judiciary system was put in place for those who refuse to do what is right and not for those who are saved by the blood of Jesus Christ.

In the Dawkins letter addressing Nate Phelps' life while living with an unrepentant man who mistakenly calls himself a Christian; I see one major mistake, which is; thinking that he was going to hell while he thought himself to be a Christian and teaching a child that they are going to hell or that there is a chance of it. As I said before, Hell is not an issue for true believers and followers of Christ. Also children should not be taught they are going to hell because they don't have that worry either until they come into the age of accountability. You may ask when is that, that is to be determined by the mind of that child, society, the parents & ultimately God.

They should be taught that by believing in Jesus Christ for salvation, and trying to live their lives according to what Jesus and his apostles taught, they can have a strong foundation & correct way to live a Christian life on this earth.

While many of you may disagree, this is my opinion.

May God bless you by touching your heart.
