I wish the TD hadn't outsourced the obituaries. I live an hour away from the Shoals and I try to check the TD obituaries each morning so that if there is a funeral or visitation I need to attend, I have time to get there.
Now that the obituaries are being used to generate profit, they aren't on the website in the mornings anymore.
I'd like to see newspapers drop the rhetoric about 'community service' and just admit that their only real objective is making as much money as possible.
