Alabama state Democrat introduced the bill that would force all men to have a vasectomy at 50. An Alabama Democrat state lawmaker has introduced a new bill that would force all men to undergo a vasectomy within one month of their 50th birthday or after the birth of their third child, according to reports.

State Rep. Rolanda Hollis (D) from Birmingham introduced legislation that, if passed, would mandate, “every Alabama man to undergo a vasectomy within one month of his 50th birthday or the birth of his third biological child, whichever comes first.”

The bill was filed by Hollis on Thursday, according to a report from Alabama-based Yellowhammer News.Hollis's unusual measure is viewed by some a response to the 2019 passage by the state legislature of the anti-abortion Human Life Protection Act. The pro-life law is currently making its way through the federal courts and will ban abortion with very few exceptions.

The two-page bill proposed by Hollis, HB238, notes that there are currently no restrictions on the reproductive rights of men.

Meet the racist hater who thought of this, ain't going to happen crap,
to any guy I know without a war. How do the most ignorant windup

It's a great idea but unfortunately it should not be law. I would love to see the faces of the ones that voted her in when they hear that. Three kids altogether or kids by different women? Is she willing to introduce a law forcing women to be sterilized? I suggest sterilization after an abortion on demand and for other women sterilization after two kids if there's no husband.

The Northwest Florida Daily News and other outlets reported that Hollis was arrested for domestic violence at the Inn on Destin Harbor in Destin, Florida on September 22, 2019. Responding police found "obvious signs of a disturbance, including broken glass", and a witness reported seeing Hollis shoving her husband, Aaron Jefferson, at approximately 11 PM. Hollis and her husband denied there was a physical altercation, although Hollis admitted to throwing a glass. Hollis was arrested and released the next day from Okaloosa County Jail after posting bail on Monday September 23, 2019.
