I need a plumber to check out some pipes that have started knocking. Any suggestions for someone who won't charge an arm and a leg just to look at my problem?

I too am in need of a plumber. I need someone reasonable and reputable. I had an AC man at my house last week. He charged $75. just to drive two blocks to my house to look at the AC. Then another charge for repair.

Does anyone know how a leak could be repaired in a bathroom built so low on the ground a skinny worm could barely crawl in. Can see with flashlight bathtub has leak.

Uncle Gus, sounds like a good idea but how could one use a shoval if one cannot even squeeze under there, there is no room for leverage....
Guess I will have to call a plumber, just dread it, can just imagine them saying the tub is going to have to be removed or something.
