Now, you know that our liberal friends will think this is a lie. What, with paupers like John Edwards and Hillary leading the pack for the Dem nomination.

No actually, I think most liberals would see this as a move in the right direction. But obviously the money isn't going to help. With all the money in the Republican Party, they couldn't find anyone better than W (the hands-down worst leader this country has ever known) to be their nominee. I'd think with all the new Democratic money, they could do better than what we are seeing as their possible nominee.

The positive side of this shift, however, is that the conversation will at least start moving in a different direction. And ANY direction away from what we've seen the last 7 years is a good one.
According to the article,
167 House districts where the median annual income was higher than the national median of $48,201, a slight majority, 84 districts, were represented by Democrats. Median means that half of all income earners make more than that level and half make less.

However, The article did not say why so many in the south that worked for low wages voted republican. Many seem to think that either they are told that its the right thing to do or may have been brainwashed by fox news.

Mr. Franc's study also showed that contrary to the Democrats' tendency to define Republicans as the party of the rich, "the vast majoritiy of unabashed conservative House members hail from profoundly middle-class districts."

"I just found the pattern across the board to be very interesting. That pattern shows the likelihood of electing a Democrat to the House is very closely correlated with how many wealthy households are in that district," Mr. Franc said in an interview with The Washington Times.

Oh, what am I thinking? Thanks for reminding me, I almost forgot, what with all the stuff the liberal media is making up and putting in the news these days. Yup, you're right. I'm forgetting about Clinton. He banged an intern and lied about it. Our country will NEVER recover from that. Silly me.

So basically you are saying that southern people are too dumb to think for themselves and need someone to make up their mind for them? I believe there are quite a few on here, including me, who will adamantly disagree with you.

No, That is not what I am saying. What I am saying is too many let the media, their families, church do their thinking for them. Most don't care about the issues until that issue hits them in the face.
The Democrats do not represent the poor, they pander to the poor to buy votes. The Democrats think "rich" starts at about $18,000 per year when they start raising taxes. The Democrats believe in buying votes of the "poor" by being the party closely associated with entitlements and all the government give aways funded by tax payers dollars.

Very good point.

Go back and read the article. It says the "rich" are voting dim. The regular guy out in middle America is the one voting for the Republicans. Luckily the regular guy knows that the republican party, which will keep him safe and lower his taxes, is the party to support.

If the truth be known you can search the list of contributors on both sides and find the same names. The rich donates to both so they wont be left out in the cold whoever wins.

As far as the Dems helping the poor? its only an illusion. Lets look at the Great Deal the supposedly helped the poor. It was only an illusion that it helped everyone equally, look at the calculations on how the money is distributed and you will find that per capital California and New York, and Texas got the most money. Why? Buying Votes. These 3 states has the most people and votes when it comes to electing a president.
