I was going to vote for someone who wants to be mayor, but I have changed my mind.

Your statement leads me to believe that I would be voting for the right candidate. You know, as I do, each one had the opportunity to shape up or hit the road. My vote will go to the man who took charge and got rid of them and I hope the new one continues his efforts.

I know both of the candidates and personally like both of them.   I will probably vote for Haddock because he is a good manager, creative thinker, and  innovater from what I've noticed over the years.  He put online tag renewal on a webpage way before other counties started doing it.  Also they embraced mailing renewal early on.   I was impressed with that.

On the other hand Singleton had a top heavy police force that spent money like drunken sailors,  buying this and that, and buillding a swat facility much more than this area needs.  I question whether a city this size evene needs a swat team.  The management structure of the department became top heavy and had more managers than was needed. 

Again like both as people but impressed with Haddock's efficient management style.  Remember before he took office you had to go stand in line to get your tag renewed.
