If it's similar to Ichiban in Sheffield, the folks on that side of the river will be in for a treat. I absolutely love the sushi rolls at Ichiban. I am not as much of a fan with the other items on the menu, but as far as sushi is concerned they are the place to beat. If you like spicy food, order their New York Roll.
If it's the same folks as own the Chattanooga location then I'm thrilled as it is a restaurant very much like Shogun in Huntsville and Osaka only I believe much better. They have a very competitive and reasonable priced lunch offering ( at least in Chattanooga they do) and the quality of their food is great. It's different from the Ichiban's that opened in Sheffield as the Ichiban in Sheffield is not the "cook at your table" type Japanese restaurant like Osaka and Shogun and the Ichiban restaurants in Birmingham (Hoover) and Chattanooga.

I'll be there when they open but granted they do have some work to do to ready the restaurant after all that went before.
From the looks of it they are gutting the old building. So I don't believe they will have any trouble making a fresh start in the old building. I wish them luck. I love Osaka, so if this place is even 10% better then we are in for a treat.
