There is a lot of people who believe in this forum, and a lot that do not.

In your own heart, are you good enough to face your Savior today or even

Tomorrow if he was to come. Do you love your fellow women/ man as you

do yourself? Do you live in a way that would please your Lord? I for myself

have a lot of things I need to improve myself and would not be prepared.

I for one am working towards the goal of being worthy to greet my Savoir.

What say you? I pray we all can be.

Actually, skippy, I'd like to add one thought to that.  Many make statements just like your topic heading (and that isn't a bad thing mind you).  Many do not stop to realize though that the Coming of Jesus or a person's standing before God is determined not necessarily at the chosen time that Jesus does come again but rather by the last breath we take.

Say a person dies (physical death) then I would say that regardless of whether it's one day, one week, ten years, or a thousand years the next critical event that person will realize is the coming of Jesus, the actual Meeting of Christ in the air.  Note that it says that the Dead in Christ will rise first not to be preceded by those alive at the time.  Therefore from the standpoint of anyone reading this forum the coming of Christ is essentially the next moment after their physical death.

The reason I say that is from a philosophical point of view when a person leaves the physical body then time ceases to exist and be a factor.  Eternity negates time or any consideration of time since there is no longer any standard of measurement.  Therefore, essentially, for all we know and for the Christian, the Rapture/Caught UP meeting with Jesus will be essentially instantaneous in time, with respect to death.

Many go around proclaiming the Rapture is coming or Christ is Coming to get ready but for the Christian or humanity TIME, as we, humanly,  know it, ceases to be definable and therefore the meeting with Christ will be as instantaneous.

Just an additional thought.

In your own heart, are you good enough to face your Savior today or even

Tomorrow if he was to come. No, is anyone?

Do you love your fellow women/ man as you do yourself? No

Do you live in a way that would please your Lord? No, does anyone?

I for myself have a lot of things I need to improve myself and would not be prepared. I for one am working towards the goal of being worthy to greet my Savoir.

What say you?  Since no one can prove to me that He exist, then I answer No to all your questions.

i look at it this way....

i do the best i can, for the best reasons i can.

i don't do anything to make god or jesus happy, i do things because they are the right things to do.

i help people when i can, and i'm the best husband and father i can be.

if that's not good enough, then it's not, and there isn't anything i'm capable of doing about it.

oh, sure, i could make all the artificial pious noises like bill does, but regardless of the noises i make it wouldn't be the truth in my heart - so why bother pretending?

i am who i am... i am who He caused me to be.. i took that and did the best i could with it.

if that's not good enough, then there is nothing i can do about it.

if i'm to be punished for being who he made me, then he's not worthy of my praise, anyway.

I see your point but I disagree. He may have created us but we're not what he caused us to be. We are what we make ourselves to be. I have seen alcoholics saved, & become a completely different person then what they were. The way one described it to me was that after he was saved, it was only right that since Jesus gave his life for him, then he should do everything within his power to be a person that Jesus would be proud of & to be what the Bible teaches.

I don't think God causes people to be rapist, murderers, drunks, etc. People make themselves that way.

F#&% the Bible

It's all bulls#*!

I'm tired of hearing
about morality
I have ethics
I care about what

Is wrong
Not what
I need to do
to receive my
Holy Reward

I'm tired of filthy
television evangelists
smoking meth and
stroking c###s
taking the stage and
millions of bucks
then telling others
about their morality

Mostly taking as much
money as they can get
from mindless worshipers
who question nothing

I'm tired of politicians
saying, "God" and, "Faith"
twenty times in every
speech to tame a
flock of sheep
bleating their putrid
mindless song
then bombing the f#&%
out of helpless, innocent
people of another faith
just to make a buck

And "God" sees all
all the while
prayers ignored
goodness destroyed
motionless children
dead and on display
arms and legs outstretched
bowels on the ground
skulls cracked and
brains bashed in
And "God" is watching
all the while

Everything happens for
a reason they say
again and again
There can be no light
without darkness
No good without evil
It's part of His
immortal plan
Glory to the lord
Glory be thy lord

Whitey said Genesis proved
that slavery was right
It was written

I'm sick of needless suffering
I'm sick of holy men
in Crystal Palaces stroking
little boys like Michael Jackson
using billions in tithes to pay
for lawyers because some
damaged kid hung himself
with an extension cord and

suicide note

I'm sick of it
Everyone should
be sick of it

Life is precious
Life is sacred
Life is a great gift

After life is returning
to the earth
The filament will burn
and the light will cease
It is the Great

You should be glad your
sick heart will not
live on and your soul
will perish

Life is the result of
A random series of events
with no meaning
You will not find yourself
in a blessed place
surrounded only by
your faithful brethren

Rejoice!

You didn't like them
much anyway
You didn't really care
about anyone
You had morality

Just enough righteousness
and belief in Jesus, Vishnu,
Allah and John Smith to earn
your eternal f#&%ing reward

You didn't care about Ethics
You didn't do the Right Thing
For the sake of doing
the Right Thing
You had morality

You had to be a sheep
and follow the Pedophile Priest
The Meth Smoking Methodist
Opium Buddhas
and Pandering Politicians

They led the way
so they could make a buck
Because they understood
that it's all here and now
and they didn't give a s#&t
about anyone else

Here and now is important
because I care about the
children with their skulls
cracked open and their
bowels on the ground

I care about the ones
with their hearts torn out
and their anus' rubbed raw
hanging from their own rope
because they couldn't
stand the shame

And so help me I care
about the sheep that can't
think for themselves

They all need our help

I want an end of righteousness
I want people to see that life
is all we get and our reward
will be the satisfaction of
helping each other through it

I want people to worship Ethics
Doing what is right because
that is what is good for everyone
and not for the promise
of eternal reward

Because morality is evil
Ethics bears no righteousness
But it is the best any God
could hope to create.

Would have past? You no? Your perfect? Really? Three in the same sentence. You can't blame this on a typo. I hit the "t" key instead of the "u". What is your excuse, other than illiteracy?

Lets break this one down, shall we?

Would have past? You no? Your perfect? Really? Three in the same sentence.

If you would have stopped here it would have almost been funny. Still it is in the realm of sarcasm and I don't think you have the skill yet to pull it off.

This last part is unnecessary and I will attempt to explain why.

It is impossible to be funny when berating someone for a mistake while explaining your own mistake.

This would have been an excellent time to utilize the "opie' method and go to the bag of phrases.

"try to keep up" would suffice, but for the umph factor I would suggest "you're fat too, aren't you?"

yeah.. seen it before. thought it was interesting then.. still think it's interesting, but it also still doesn't apply to me.

Yup, Nagel/  I said pretty much what you said-I just took a lot longer.

It's just the "eternal reward" mentality really frosts ma cookies.

Hi all,

Skippy asks, "If Jesus Came Today, Would You be Prepared?"

There is a simple answer:  ALL who, by the grace of God, through faith in Jesus Christ -- believe and receive Him -- WILL be prepared.   Does this mean that any of us will be perfect?  No.  Absolutely not!  While in this life, in this mortal body, we are all sinners, no one is perfect.   We all have the curse of the Adamic sin nature.  However, there IS one huge difference.  Those who have confessed (not professed, but confessed) Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior -- are "forgiven sinners" and will be Raptured into heaven when He comes for His own.

No one is perfect and NEVER will be in this life.  For, if anyone were to be perfect, then that person would be God, or a god.  And, we know that is too ridiculous to even suggest.

The rest, all the non-believers?  Well, now would be a great time to be giving serious thought to that problem.  As long as you are still breathing, there is still time to turn from the world, i.e., repent, and turn to follow Jesus Christ -- into eternity.   Think about it.  Eternity is a very, very long time -- and you want to make sure you have the very best reservations.

God bless, have a wonderful, blessed day,

Bill

That's sounds pretty easy.

So all I have to do is Confess that Jesus is the Christ. That's it I'm saved.

Wow!

"illiterat" Really? Good one! I never said that I am perfect, just always right. There is a difference that is easily recognized, except for Socialists like you.

Jimi, I got to quit picking on you. You obviously have some problems.

I'm sorry young man. You have a good evening.
