Oh me this is something I really need to think about. My mother is still living and has ahlzheimers (sp) and other bad physical problems. I really need to have more patience with her and be grateful she's made it this far. Well I am thankful of course and I love her dearly but the patience part of it is something I need to work on. Thank you for your post LMM.

Yes, I have to agree that it made me think too. I am so blessed because my parents are both still living. Dad is 85 and Mom is 79. I should be doing something for them, or at least calling to check on them instead of being on the computer right now. Gotta go call my parents! :-) Thanks for the reminder!

Give them both a hug for me!
28 years ago tomorrow my Dad was buried.

Frowner I don't like being an orphan.

I was involved with the N.A.M.I. group through organizations that I have been in, I checked out a tape for people who are dealing with their parents with Alzheimers. It will help you deal with your situation. I was having problems with my mother-in-law, me not being able to understand her situation. It does help to visit NAMI and get information on Alzheimers/Dementia, even with other diseases like bi-polar, etc.
