Pepsi is currently sponsoring a program to grant a deserving opportunity 250,000 dollars of grant money.

The project that is linked is a revolutionary cancer treatment research project that injects gold nanoparticles into a cancerous cell. RF waves are then used to excite the particles, which makes them heat up and kill the cancer cell, leaving the other cells relatively unharmed.

The other programs are useless things like giving 6th graders Ipods, and things like that. This has promise, in clinical trials it has killed 100% of liver, colon, and pancreatic cancer cells.

(at a point it says that the treatment does not work, which it doesn't, because the inventor only shot himself with the RF waves, he inject NO metals into his tumors which is why it didn't work.)

The key to this research is the development of the antibody against the tumor, that you can link the gold onto and make sure that the tumor is the only item which is destroyed. Initial research looks good, and there are other things that came out of this research as well. The same RF waves can also be used to produce energy by causing salt water to burn like a fossil fuel.
The inventor, though he died from his malignancy, was a very intelligent man, and he may have stumbled upon something that will in fact be able to accurately target cancer.
It is not a cure, but a very effective treatment. The cure for cancer lies in the cellular level, in an effort to stop it from developing in the first place. I am hopeful that within the the next generation we will have the dedicated research to finally stop this scourge.
