It always occurs during emergencies. Greed supercedes duty. A friend of mine showed me a pic of a pack of (4) chicken ******* a local grocery store was wanting $24 for. The next day the TD runs an article about our AG promising to prosecute cases of price gouging during a declared emergency. Today, there is NO RECORD of that article in the TD.  Whose side is the TD on?

I also saw a pack of chicken that was priced what I expected steak to be priced at and while the price has risen I'm wondering if the gouging is on the supermarket's side or the middle person or the supplier.  Somewhere along the line from the clucker itself to the shrink-wrapped package, it does seem chicken is costing more these days.
