Anyone have a question you'd like to have answered by the believers? Post it here and watch it "die on the vine" OR by some true miracle you might get an answer.

************************************************************************************************************************

Here's the first one that no one seems to want to tackle but I will try again-Why were they all so shocked when they found the tomb empty? Didn't jesus tell them he would rise from the dead? Didn't they believe him?

======================

I’ll start it off,

Believers, why do the atheistic ask such dumb questions, why are they so un-educated, un-informed, jealous of believers, stupid, childish, thickheaded, dense, mean, lying, backward, cowardly, ignorant about science, ?

Why are they so afraid of God?

This is the best description seen yet. Pegged the Old Atheist Gal just right.

I get a laugh reading it .

Frankly Jennifer you seem to be a bitter old female who is the one whining and throwing a piitty fit because you are revealed for what you are (deceitful)..  Pride and refusal to acknowledge your mistakes is not worth any more of my time. Your post speak for themselves your bitterness is getting ugly.  You are just not worth the effort to attempt to discuss it rationally anymore.  ANY person that analyzed the sentence that has a the most basic intelligence would see you implied what I said you implied so much so that RP also picked up on your statements when he said the same in one of his post..  At first I thought it stemmed from just your pride and bitterness and now you are just obsessed with an corruptness that overwhelms you. You constantly deny what you obviously do and alter the meaning of what others says without care or concern and anyone should take anything you say with skepticism for you certainly cannot be trusted and that is ever more apparent the longer I read your post.

If there is a way to block/ignore my post I suggest you do for you have demonstrated yourself to be too bitter to reason with.  If I can block/ignore your post rest assured I will and allow you to waste away in your own decrepit conscience, strike that you appear to have none just ugly bitterness and the arrogance of a morally bankrupt individual who allows her hatred of Christians to obsess her and her actions on this forum.    If you don't care to read my diatribes ignore me if possible because I plan to ignore you if possible for you are beyond reasoning with and you will continue to be bitter which will continue within you.  Others see you for who you are as well and the only ones who can't are your fellow atheist whom share the same agenda for your participation here.  Not dialog but attacks and insults against Christians.  That same bitterness and carnal heart/conscience creates that as well and that is the real reason you post here and not to be constructive.  You ARE the atheist equivalent of the members of the Westboro Baptist Church who protest the funerals of soldiers .. exactly the same for you do what you want because you have the freedom to and you don't care who gets in your way.  As I said a bitter vengeful empty woman who cannot find happiness within so seeks to take it out on everyone else you blame for your own personal misery which is why you cannot see what you did because you frankly don't care.

Hi Baron,

You are right that His followers, even though He had told them -- did not fully understand what He had been telling them.  This is why Peter denied Him three times, this is why most of His disciples ran away when He was arrested, this is why His disciples were discouraged and went back to fishing after His crucifixion.

Yet, when they did see Him in His resurrected body, they began to believe -- but, still lacked the full illumination which comes only from the Holy Spirit.  They believed Him enough to stay in the Upper Room and wait for the gift He promised from God that would come upon them.  They believed Him enough to be in prayer and fellowship in the Upper Room for ten days -- waiting for His promised gift from God.

But, they still lacked the full commitment, the courage -- to go out on the streets and teach the Gospel.

When, after waiting ten days in prayer and fellowship, the Holy Spirit did come upon them, the gift from God, and indwell each of them (as it does all believers since then) -- they received power and courage from the Holy Spirit.  Then, they went out and preached to the gathered crowd -- and, that day, 3000 believed and were added to the body of Christ, the Christian church.  A few days later, under the power of the Holy Spirit, they once again preached and 4000 more were added to the Christian church.

Jennifer, you asked, "Didn't they believe Him?"   The answer is yes and no.  They wanted to fully believe; yet, until they were indwelled and sealed by the Holy Spirit (Ephesians 1:13, 4:30) -- they did not have the Spirit given power, discernment, and illumination to be effective witnesses for Christ, to fully believe.  This is why He told them to wait until God gave them the indwelling Spirit to sustain, guide, teach, and convict them.  After they received the Holy Spirit within them, they became powerful evangelist, powerful witnesses for Jesus Christ -- across the whole known world (Matthew 28:18-20, Acts 1:8, Mark 16:15).

Jennifer, I pray that Baron and I have answered your question sufficiently.  However, I do get the feeling that no matter how well anyone answers your questions -- you will reject all answers.

This leads me to a question of my own:  Specifically, why are you asking these questions?  Is it just so that you can disagree and argue with us -- or do you sincerely want an honest answer?

God bless, have a wonderful, blessed day,

Bill

You are going to take anything I say as an argument anyway. Every atheist wonders why people still believe the stories. It's natural. And when you have read the bible and you have seen the contradictions you can't help but wonder how people put them aside and still cling to the bible. So we ask, and nine times out of ten we are attacked for it. Now comes this story. Forget all of them but mary. Who was mary to jesus? We all know that. Yet she wondered what had happened to him. First of all, it seems like she would have been in that tomb day and night waiting on his return. And instead of KNOWING he had "risen", as he supposedly told her he would, she and all the rest wonder what happened. There was no running back and telling them he's risen!!! We'll see him soon!!! It was-he's gone, what happened????

What about Mary?  I do not see any questions regarding Mary.  I see a number of comments, some rambling -- but, no specific question.   Is there a specific question you have regarding Mary and Jesus Christ?  If so, share it.   But, please do not be offended if I answer from the Bible -- for there is no other truth.

OK bill. Either you are senile or you're playing dumb. One more time:

Hi Jennifer,

The only question I see in your rambling comment regarding Mary is:  Who was mary to jesus?

Simple.  She was the earthly mother of the human nature of Jesus Christ.  So, what is your point?  Do you have any other questions about Mary?

Regarding Jesus Christ, you seem to ask:  he's gone, what happened?

Once again, simple.  He went into the Hades/Paradise for three days where He shared with those Old Testament saints who had been waiting for hundreds or thousands of years for His coming.   After three day, He rose, i.e., resurrected, leading the Old Testament saints from Hades/Paradise into their heavenly home (Ephesians 4:8).

He posted an "Out Of Business" sign on Hades/Paradise -- probably smiled at those still waiting in Hades/Torment -- and then He returned and Mary Magdalene was the first to see Him in his resurrected, glorified body (John 20:11:18).

Then, after appearing to over 500 believers during the next forty days; He ascended into heaven (Acts 1:6-11) where He is at the right hand of God the Father, continually interceding for all believers (1 Timothy 2:5, Hebrews 9:24).   Yes, today, He is our super successful Trial Lawyer (1 John 2:1, Hebrews 7:25) -- He has not lost a believer/client yet -- and He will not.

And, that, my Friend, is the Trial Lawyer all you atheists refused -- while foolishly accepting Lucifer/Satan as your losing trial lawyer.  By the way, he is the same trial lawyer all those still in Hades/Torment depended upon, also.   And, they ALL LOST!

God bless, have a wonderful, blessed day,

Bill

Hi Crusty,

Yes, Hades had two compartments before Jesus Christ was crucified and rose again.  They are commonly called Torment (where non-believers reside) and Paradise, or Abraham's Bosom, where believers were until Jesus Christ led them from there into heaven (Ephesians 4:8).  This is also where the repentant thief went with Jesus Christ the day they were crucified.  Once He resurrected, the Paradise side of Hades was closed down, out of business -- but, the Torment side is still there waiting for all non-believers.

But, Crusty, if you have any problem finding any of this in the Bible, just let me know.  I will be happy to help you.

God bless, have a wonderful, blessed day,

Thank you bill for proving what we all know, you have no explanation for the contradictions in your bible!!!!! First question about one contradiction and bill fails miserably. You can skip the sermons when you respond to me bill. Bill this might be the MOST foolish you've ever acted.

To answer the original question, it's simple. A tomb guarded by Roman soldiers containing the body of a man that was publicly executed was found empty. Natural human reaction would be surprise.

The key to the whole event is who first found the tomb empty. In 1st Century Judea, women were not considered to be reliable witnesses. If the resurrection was staged, then the best choice for the first person to "discover" it would be the most reliable person according to their culture. This would be a man, probably a wealthy man or priest. Instead, someone with the least credibility first reported the tomb empty and Christ risen. The reason why this is key is because of the reaction, it was believed.

What evah.  How do you guys rationalize the following over who found the tomb?

a. According to Matthew 28:1, only "Mary Magdalene and the other Mary."
b. According to Mark 16:1, "Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James, and Salome."
c. According to Luke 23:55, 24:1 and 24:10, "the women who had come with him out of Galilee." Among these women were "Mary Magdalene and Joanna and Mary the mother of James."

d. Luke indicates in verse 24:10 that there were at least two others.

d. According to John 20:1-4, Mary Magdalene went to the tomb alone, saw the stone removed, ran to find Peter, and returned to the tomb with Peter and another disciple.

That's a quote of the day right there, y'all.

How important can it be uno, that four guys, who obviously wasn't there, but

wrote about it as best they could by talking to others and each other.

The important thing is to know that Jesus made it a point to appear to

the principle women first.

BJG...........For the recond, Hades didn't have two compartments. Hades or Hell stands

on it's own. Paradise and Limbo are two different places. Limbo is where saved souls

stayed until the ascension of Jesus. Limbo isn't needed anymore and paradise

speaks for itself from the beginning of creation.

He appeared to the women first. I don't know where you got your misinformation.

But you're wrong.

Why do you all keep asking the same questions? We answer your questions and you keep asking the same ones, over and over again. If you didn't like the answer the first time, why do you want to hear it again?

Could it be that you're not interested in the answers? Perhaps most of you who keep asking the same questions are just here to "take it out" on us.

Nevermind you must mean magdalene,  Remember, how quick things happened.

Thursday nite, praying in the garden, friday night Jesus is in a tomb.

everyone was shaken up. It's not that magdalene didn't believe Jesus would

rise from the dead, she did believe.

But when she got there (first) she was the stone rolled back and Jesus

was gone and thought someone took him. She panicked.

I would guess the same way you get in to put a body in it, and if they went to "anoint" him they must have known they could get in. Sure she could have packed a few meals, after all it was supposed to only be for three days.

Jenn,,,No one can stay in the tomb after the body is placed.

The soldiers wouldn't allow that in anyway.

The stone that sealed the entrance took a few men to move it.

No,,It's not my first contradiction. No group of people or soldiers would let someone

stay in the tomb. When they anoint, they are in and out. It's not like it's open to the public.

How about this ohno-it's none of your business why I ask questions or start threads. Your crap got old with me a long time ago. I don't run and read your threads and post to you, so if you don't like what I ask, don't read it. Unless you're blind you can see bill didn't answer the question. He did his usual sidestep. So as long as it isn't to you don't worry about what I post. And you can drop the "take it out on us" crap. That's getting as old and worn out as the rest of your schtick.
