Just when you think you’ve seen and heard all the horrors that the sick and twisted mind of a right-wing Republican can conjure up, something more terrible appears.

According to a report by the Arkansas Times:

Rep. Justin Harris (R-West Fork), his wife at his side, told reporters at a press conference last week that he sent his two adopted daughters to live with another family, where one of them was later sexually abused because he and his wife thought they were possessed by demons

Chelsey Goldsborough, who regularly babysat for the Harrises, said Mary was kept isolated from Annie and from the rest of the family. She was often confined for hours to her room, where she was monitored by a video camera. The reason: The Harrises believed the girls were possessed by demons and could communicate telepathically, Goldsborough said. Harris and his wife once hired specialists to perform an “exorcism” on the two sisters while she waited outside the house with the boys, she said.

So just so we’re clear. These crazy religious creeps couldn’t handle their adoptive children’s behavior, so they give them away, including one to this guy, who eventually raped the six-year-old.

Adoption Abuse Legislator

Terrifying, right? Just wait. It seems the Harrisses also run an extreme right-wing evangelical Christian pre-school.  According to the Huffington Post:

The Harrises, who have three other children and run a pre-school in West Fork, Arkansas, told the Times that they couldn’t handle the girls’ behavior. They claimed that the girls, aged 3 and 6, were violent and that one of them crushed a family pet to death. So they gave the girls away to Eric Francis, who was arrested six months later and is now serving a 40-year sentence for sexually assaulting the 6-year-old child.

So what do the Harrisses have to say for themselves? Do they take any responsibility, being the forthright, righteous God-fearing Christians that they are? Hell no. They blame the (dum dum dum) FEDERAL GOVERNMENT!

According to the Huffington Post:

Responding to the Arkansas Times’ report that uncovered Harris’ “rehoming” of his children, the state legislator said he was “failed” by the Department of Human Services when he told employees the girls were too difficult for the family to handle. He said DHS’ threat to charge him with abandonment could have cost him custody of his three biological sons (and, though he did not say so, could have cost him his business as well, Growing God’s Kingdom preschool). The lawmaker also said DHS “misled” him about severe behavioral issues with the girls. He said they suffered from reactive attachment disorder, a condition sometimes occurring among children with unstable backgrounds that results in severe emotional and social problems.

Let’s hope that these Republicans pay the price for what they did to these children.

Ok, you need to separate the info of these people, not tie it all as one.  Being a Republican didn't cause the issue of this story, so put that out of the way. Being Christain didn't cause the issue of this story. Put that away.  What you have is two people, who because they had degrees of some sort in Child Development, took on three children (at first) , and basically turned out to be more than they could handle.  From there it was bad decisions with good intentions, from both the Harris' and DHR.     Now, would it be fair to tie this as cause and reason...Arkansas+sexual abuse+politicians+Bill Clinton= DEMOCRATS?

it is republican though. that's the point. the selfish gene being dominant is found to be present in republicans. they are greedy and despise even those sitting next to themselves in a religious setting. even an innocent child as in this case is often a victim of the selfish gene. its not a liberal thing or conservative thing necessarily. its a genetic poison against humanity with no known antidote.
