Omar...Tlaib...AOC lead the mourning among democrats for the loss to the "protesters" and the loss of Hezbollah terrorist supporters. How dare Trump they ask ? He was supposed to sit and allow the Embassy to be overrun and the Ambassador and others dragged out and murdered!

The siege outside of the U.S. Embassy in Baghdad came to an end Wednesday afternoon after dozens of pro-Iran militiamen and their supporters withdrew from the compound.

The two-day crisis started early Tuesday, when, in an orchestrated assault, hundreds of protesters stormed the embassy compound, one of the most heavily fortified U.S. diplomatic missions in the world.

As the militiamen cleared the area, smoke still rose from a section of the compound building where hours before they had lit a fire on the roof.

The violent protests, which included smashed windows and sprayed graffiti on the embassy's walls, were said to be in protest of the deadly U.S. airstrikes that targeted an Iran-backed militia over the weekend, killing 25 fighters. In turn, those strikes had been in response to a rocket attack on an Iraqi Army base that killed a U.S. contractor and injured several American troops.

The protests prompted the Pentagon to send hundreds of additional troops to the Middle East.

TRUMP VOWS IRAQ 'WILL NOT BE A BENGHAZI' AFTER IRAN-BACKED EMBASSY RAID

Earlier Wednesday morning, the protesters had set up around 50 tents, along with a makeshift clinic. Cooks with aprons were serving meals out of giant pots.

Outside one of the gates, a Shiite cleric recited verses from the Muslim holy book, the Koran, through a loudspeaker.

Elsewhere, demonstrators could be seen hurling rocks over the walls of the embassy compound before U.S. troops responded by firing tear gas from the roofs of the buildings.

The Popular Mobilization Forces, an umbrella group of state-allied militias — many backed by Iran — called on its supporters to withdraw in response to an appeal by the Iraqi government, saying “your message has been received.”

By late afternoon the tents had been taken down and the protesters relocated to the opposite side of the Tigris River, outside the so-called Green Zone housing government offices and foreign embassies. U.S. Apache helicopters circled overhead.

"After achieving the intended aim, we pulled out from this place triumphantly," said Fadhil al-Gezzi, a militia supporter, told the Associated Press. “We rubbed America's nose in the dirt.”

Some 100 U.S. Marines arrived at the embassy late Tuesday to bolster security as President Trump has denounced the actions by protestersvowing the situation in Baghdad “will not be a Benghazi.”

On Sept. 11, 2012, the American diplomatic compound in Benghazi, Libya, was attacked by members of an Islamic militant group. Four Americans were killed in the attack, which lasted two days. U.S. Ambassador to Libya Chris Stevens was among those killed.

“It’s been handled very well,” the president told reporters as he walked into a New Year’s Eve celebration at his Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida Tuesday night. “The Marines came in. We had some great warriors come in; they did a fantastic job.”

He added: “They were there instantaneously, as soon as we heard. They came immediately. It’s in great shape. This will not be a Benghazi. Benghazi never should have happened. This will never, ever be a Benghazi. … As soon as we saw there was a potential for a problem, they got in."

Hours earlier, Trump placed blame for the attack on the embassy in Iran. Defense Secretary Mark Esper announced the immediate deployment of an infantry battalion of about 750 soldiers from the Army’s 82nd Airborne Division to the Middle East. Three U.S. defense officials told Fox News they will be deployed to Kuwait amid the unrest in Baghdad.

Officials said more than 650 paratroopers are already on their way to Kuwait, and roughly 4,000 more have been told to pack their bags for a possible deployment.

“This deployment is an appropriate and precautionary action taken in response to increased threat levels against U.S. personnel and facilities, such as we witnessed in Baghdad today,” Esper said in a statement.

And again since I remember how thick the lib posters are I will go further and clarify by saying MY comments are satire...the report is true.

Sadly this is NOT satire...it is the horrible truth....but not surprising for the liberal news outlet.

The New York Times is facing backlash for referring to the violent protestors who tried to storm the U.S. Embassy in Baghdad on Tuesday as "Iraqi mourners."

Crowds of angry Iraqis protesting America's recent airstrikes against an Iran-backed militia laid siege to the U.S. Embassy compound, chanting "Down, down USA!" as they stormed through a main gate, prompting U.S. guards to fire tear gas in response.

However, the Times offered a more sympathetic description of the mob.

"Hundreds of Iraqi mourners tried to storm the United States Embassy in Baghdad, shouting 'Down, down USA!,' in response to deadly American airstrikes this week that killed 25 fighters," the paper tweeted with its report. As of Tuesday afternoon, the report itself made no mention of "mourners" at the compound, although it noted that Iraq's prime minister "announced an official three-day mourning period for the men killed in the strikes."

The tweet was widely panned on social media.

"Your 'mourners' must be upset about a video. But these attackers are Hezbollah supporters. Hezbollah is a terrorist organization, #fixthis" U.S. Ambassador to Germany Richard Grenell told the Times.

"NYT using a novel definition of 'mourners' here ('Iraqi militia paid and controlled by Iran')," Washington Free Beacon contributor Noah Pollak reacted.

The Times did not respond to Fox News' request for comment.

A U.S. defense official told Fox News that 100 Marines were being sent to the embassy to bolster security. Defense Secretary Mark Esper later confirmed additional forces were being sent, as the military released images of those forces deploying from Kuwait.

Yes...they are as hate filled and nuts as this one:

Rose McGowan sparked outrage on Friday by apologizing to the country of Iran on Twitter after its top military general was killed in an airstrike ordered by President Trump.

The controversial actress, 46, known for making lewd remarks against Trump on social media, sent out a series of tweets attacking the United States, leaving her followers questioning her sanity.

"Dear #Iran, The USA has disrespected your country, your flag, your people. 52% of us humbly apologize. We want peace with your nation. We are being held hostage by a terrorist regime. We do not know how to escape. Please do not kill us. #Soleimani," she wrote.

The Pentagon confirmed Thursday evening that Trump had ordered the attack that killed Iranian Gen. Qassem Soleimani. The top military commander was responsible for the deaths of hundreds of American and coalition members and the wounding of thousands more, the U.S. State Department said.

McGowan's followers accused the actress of doing drugs and pleaded with her to take down the tweet or delete her account as a whole. McGowan responded to the outcry with another slew of verbal attacks against America and Trump.

"Thanks a lot, ****head," McGowan wrote to Trump in another tweet.

McGowan's rage-filled Twitter spree continued into the early morning hours on Friday. When one follower simply requested she delete the apologetic tweet, McGowan responded, "eat s***."

While the actress pointed out that Soleimani was an "evil, evil man," she continued to argue that the United States has no morals.

"Of course #Soleimani was an evil evil man who did evil evil things. But that at this moment is not the f--king point. The United States is morally corrupt and acts illegally. It is only logical to appeal to Iran’s pride by apologizing. I’m taking one for the team. #TeamStayAlive," she continued.

Worth repeating-

Sometimes I wonder if Trump might be more powerful and able to do more if he WASN'T president. He could put all that energy into fighting the liberals. Maybe align with Russia on some things. Set up all sorts of powerful groups to fight the dems, start his own equivalent of twitter, build a staff of lawyers to sue the dems every time they take a breath, lead calls for impeachments and removal of dems, all sorts of things he might be able to do. No matter what the left claims about Trump he has powerful and rich supporters and could be a powerful weapon against the left. Of course we would still need to have a Republican as president.

He would be great as an unfettered attack dog against the left.
