This article details a debate by the Iraq Government Calling for a withdrawal timetable. They are considering the same kind of resolution the US Congress, led by the Democratic leadership is considering.

It may be time for GW Bush, who has the power to do the withdrawal to start planning and implementing a plan for getting US forces out of Iraq.

The polls in Iraq for years have consistently showed that the Iraqi people want a time timetable for a US withdrawal. There have been numerous demonstrations also but it's all been ignored by the corporate media. You had to read about it in the Foreign and independence media.

Still, there are a number of Iraqi leaders that want the US to remain for various reasons, some because they are part of an oligarchy that will remain wealthy and in power and benefit from the occupation. People like Allawi and Chabili are basically on the US pay roll.

Still the US media is trying to put a corporate spin on it.

It's all about oil and Bush will not leave until they push the oil bill through that gives oil corporations lucrative contracts.

The really poll that shows what the Iraqi people really think about the occupation is the majority say attacks on US troops are legitimate.
