Thanks Adam, I was not sure but figured if it had been done it was way before my time.

Well this year may not be as BIG as it was going to be if Bama had won out but Bama was not playing well enough to win. Maybe it was the decisions made by the coaches or the play of the team, as a team. Could be they were simply outplayed with the trick plays and all but it's part of the game and to be expected when playing a Les Miles team. It's happened before and should be expected to happen again.

Personally, as well as Greg has played at times, I never felt that Alabama had a stellar quarterback that could make the difference and certainly not a Cam Newton or even Tim Tebow. Alabama has a great team and still does and any given week any SEC team can win against the other. Alabama, as was done in South Carolina, was outplayed and therefor lost. I'm an Alabama FAN and have been. Usually when Alabama plays I always root for Alabama no matter the opponent but this year is exceptional and the exception.

This year I, as an Alabama Fan, will be pulling for Auburn and hope that Auburn wins in the Iron Bowl. There is no way that Alabama can make it to the National Championship and that just isn't the case with Auburn. Auburn, if they win through Atlanta will no doubt be in the game and have an exceptionally good chance to win it and be the second team from Alabama to win a national Championship. I remember when USC unjustly won the national Championship when there was a superior Auburn team that should have won it and given the suspension Auburn should have been given it but wasn't. This year Auburn controls their destiny and this year they can win it all and should.

I say, as an Alabama Roll Tide Fan, WAR EAGLE and lets go Auburn, lets go all the way to the National Championship which unfortunately means Alabama has to suffer yet another loss for it to happen so be it. Even if Alabama was to beat Auburn they wouldn't make it to Atlanta and they will achieve a bowl game. Personally I hope they get to play TCU or Boise and if so they better have their A-Game on and not play like they did against SC or LSU or they will get their clock cleaned. Boise plays fast and aggressive and has a better reason than any college football team to show and demonstrate something. Boise also loves to run trick plays. They didn't invent the trick plays but they have almost perfected them.

I'd love to see Alabama play one of the two and then either silence those that say Boise or TCU shouldn't be in the hunt or reinforce them. That could be the justification of Alabama's remaining season and their task at hand.

It's time now to WAR EAGLE and lets see another Alabama Team win a National Championship and another Heisman Trophy. I also say Go UNA!

gbrk, I'm an Alabama fan too and will be pulling for Auburn in the NC game if they beat Bama. However, there's no way in heck I'll be pulling for Auburn in the Iron bowl. You're the only Bama fan(?) I know of that will be pulling for Auburn.

If Chattanooga can score 24 on Auburn, how many can Oregon or TCU score?

I understand that ferrellj but the way I'm looking at is is I'm pulling for the SEC team to be National Champions and hopefully one from Alabama. For that to have a chance to happen, the only way, is for Auburn to win the Iron Bowl otherwise there is no way an SEC team will make it to the National Championship. Once Bama lost to LSU that destroyed their chances.

If Alabama wins the Iron Bowl then their season ends there anyway, except for a bowl game which they will get whether they win or lose the Iron Bowl and that means no SEC team will have a shot at the National Championship. That's my reasoning but I fully understand the feelings that many staunch Alabama fans have regarding Auburn so I understand that not many would share my view on it.

Besides .. I also have the most adorable Granddaughter who is a staunch Auburn Fan, she's 7, named Aubrey, called Aubie for short and believes that Auburn's mascot (Tiger) was named after her so looking into those beautiful brown 7 year old eyes how can I disappoint her.

LOL!! Did you watch the game??? I'm guessing ..... uh... no... LOL

Auburn was up 34-0 and had like 350-80 in the yardage dept. One TD was the Chat kick returner fumbled the kick off, Auburn players lost their lanes and the kid made a heck of a return for a TD. The rest of the points came against a mixture of all true freshman and walk on players on defense. Also, offensively, Auburn mass subbed which gave the Mocs more opportunities on offense. Cam, Dyer, McCalebb, Adams, Zachery, and the offensive line sat out the second half. Auburn's D isn't great, to that I've admitted many times, but to use this game as a measuring stick is absurd.

Dude, you've lost your mind. Peter pretty much summed up the rest. If Auburn had played like Oregon, they would have left all the starters in and rolled up 100 or more points. Let's be honest here. Don't think they wouldn't leave their starters in against Oregon, TCU, etc, and clean house.

I've heard many more knowledgeable and reliable people say that Auburn's biggest weakness is their defense.

UTC had some pretty big offensive plays on Auburn. Mocs have a good QB, but they're still playing one of the top teams in the country. You could really see the weaknesses in the Auburn D during that game.

I'm expecting this year's Iron Bowl to be high scoring, it won't be a good game if you like defense. I wouldn't be surprised if it all came down to a field goal, possibly after a few overtimes.

You ain't reporting earth shattering news that Auburn's secondary has struggled at times this year. But you are ignoring facts that they run D, and pass rush have been very solid.

And Auburn's D "leaks" every game. Bama needs the dam to bust all the way on the D to win a shootout with Auburn. It could happen in BDS, no doubt... but just a leak won't be enough if Auburn's O gets rollin.

I've been DEAD ON in my analysis of both teams all year. Like I said, you ain't breakin any huge story that Auburn doesn't have a great defense. It's been good enough when needed in terms of getting stops and letting the offense work. I'm sure you... like MANY MANY MANY others are hopin Cam doesn't play. That would definately help the Tide for sure. But Garcia played well vs Bama... HECK JORDAN JEFFERESON played well vs Bama... Auburn still wins with Caudle or Trotter if the O-line plays well.

Congrats too the Auburn Tigers. Bama dominated in the first half, but ballgames are 60 minutes long. Auburn's red zone defense combined with Bama's red zone miscues kept Auburn in the game until their offense could get on track. Most times when a team leaves points on the field, it comes back to haunt them. It certainly did this time. Again congratulations too the Auburn Tigers.

I was a little concerned with the frivolous penalties Al. received on third down plays.

Also Auburn did a lot of holding on the line that was never called.
