I don't feel bad for him or his coach. Don't forget how many times they ran the score up every chance they got. thought is was very funny that the broadcasters took a shot at Meyer when we took a knee instead of running up the score.

Its football baby...no room for crying losers. Take your loses like you take your wins. You want class? Nick Saban could have scored again and broke the 500 yard mark. I don't remember any Al players crying last year.

BTW...why wasn't Tebow running around after the game shaking everyones hand like he usually does?
While i relish the fact that Bama made him cry by winning. I will say this about the kid. He is a winner. He plays with alot of emotion, win or lose. Tebow is a proven leader on and off the field. The media love for him I surely wont miss as I wont miss the King James version under his eyes. But I will miss his passion and leadership on the field and the example he set as a player and a person.
Roll Tide and I hope the Gators can do many gator chomps in the Sugar Bowl.

trust me, i'm relishing the victory the team so convincingly won, but still LOL at tebow for being a cry baby. if florida had won it would be a different story. he would have pranced around the field like the only rooster in the hen house.

i think tebow is the best quarterback in college football right now and i do like him, but to cry and have to be petted says a lot about someone.
Hi to all,

Although I am always an Alabama fan -- I tease my brother that USC could beat them (only joking!). If Alabama and USC were playing -- I most certainly would be pulling for Bama.

However, I have great respect and admiration for Tim Tebow; both as an athlete and as a person. And, I personally like his Scripture verses in his eyeblack. It shows his character -- he is a Christian first and foremost and an athlete second. This is the way it should always be in every aspect of our lives.

Do I see it as a sign of weakness because he shed tears in defeat? Absolutely not! This just shows the intensity and emotion with which he plays the game of football and the game of life. Was he wrong to celebrate last year when they beat Bama? Absolutely not! To the victor goes the spoils -- and one of them is the right to celebrate.

No one seems to be chastising Ingram (sp) for running around with the SEC poster -- and they should not. He earned the right to celebrate with this poster just as Tebow earned the right last year to celebrate.

Several posters have questioned the class of those who want to laugh at this very successful man who, in the intensity of losing, shed tears. Some laugh at him because his coaches and teammates tried to comfort him. This only shows how big a man Tebow is and how much the coaches and teammates respect him as a leader, as a player. and as a person. Those who have laughed at him for this -- only show their lack of class.

Personally, I would like to see a team where every member had Scripture verses written in their eyeblack. That team, regardless of how many games they won or lost -- would be a team of winners.

God bless, have a wonderful, blessed day,

Bill

Wait till you see this in the NFL. I like the way his teammate is petting him on the head.

Tebow might make it in the NFL as a tight end or H back. He's not an NFL QB IMO. That said he's a great player but Alabama has the best team period.
Honee's Hubby here.....I just wonder if Tebow is rethinking his decision to go to Florida instead of Alabama. It's my understanding he had the offer to play for the Tide. And with that thought, everything else remaining the same, he would have probably had TWO national championships and possibly two Heisman trophies.

But then I also wonder what this Alabama team would look like with the Bear coaching, running the wishbone option with Ingram at fullback and Upchurch and Richardson at the HB positions. Now, if the Bear WAS there and recruited Tebow for the QB position?????????? Would anyone be able to stop them???

Hi Surreal,

Let's take a look at the Tebow family:

Tim Tebow was born on August 14, 1987 in Manila, Philippines to missionary parents Bob and Pam Tebow. He has two older brothers, two older sisters, and two brothers-in-law. When Tim was three, his family moved back to Florida, where his father continues his twenty-four year ministry in the Philippines. All the Tebow children have been involved in the summer mission trip to the Philippines. The highlight of Tim’s mission trips was preaching in a school of 10,000 high school students in Digos, Mindanao.

Bob Tebow, Tim's father:

Helped start Campus Crusade for Christ at the University of Florida, 1966
Area Representative for Fellowship of Christian Athletes, 1976 – 1979
Associate Pastor, Southside Baptist Church, 1979 - 1982
Pastor, Cornerstone Community Church, 1982 – 1985
Missionary-Evangelist, Philippines, 1985 to present, through the Bob Tebow Evangelistic Association

How do you get a "spoiled rich kid" out of this?

God bless, have a wonderful, blessed day,

Bill

Heisman Update...

NEW YORK (AP) — Tim Tebow and Colt McCoy are headed back to the Heisman Trophy presentation as finalists, along with running backs Mark Ingram and Toby Gerhart and defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh.

Tebow is crying to become the second two-time Heisman winner. The Florida quarterback won the award in 2007 and finished third last season.

McCoy was the runner-up last season to Oklahoma's Sam Bradford and has led No. 2 Texas to the BCS national championship game this season.

Ingram has rushed for 1,542 yards and scored 15 touchdowns for No. 1 Alabama.

Stanford's Gerhart, meanwhile, has run for more yards — 1,736 — than any player in the nation.

Nebraska's Suh had 4½ sacks in an attention-grabbing performance against Texas in the Big 12 title game.

THANK YOU!!!

i went to nola for the sugar bowl this year. after getting beat by utah, i saw many bama fans congratulate the utah fans on having a great team and winning the game. if you ask me, that's pretty classy. had it been another team which i won't say, it would have been just the opposite with words being exchanged and possible fights breaking out.

believe it or not, but i do like tebow. i think he's a great guy on field and off. on the TD poll today, who should win the heisman trophy, i voted tebow. if i were a pro team, he would be my #1 pick, but i would tell him to leave his helmet on if he was going to cry ;~)

i love sec football but most of all, alabama football.
i watch every alabama game and when alabama isn't playing i watch other sec teams play.
i have watched a lot of florida football and the way tebow leads his team is amazing.
the way he throws and the way he runs the ball is better than any other quarter back in college today. too bad alabama didn't get him.

He has TWO loses this year. Why would you want Alabama to have him? He is not going to the NC this year, GMAC is. We got the right one. Wink

McCoy has a better record than Tebow.

he only has one loss this year. correct me if i'm wrong.
enough with how great of a football player he is, lets get back to laughing at him for crying on national tv :~D

CHECK OUT THIS TEBOW SITE
Yes, most everyone is right. Tebow is a good QB. All I know is Greg McElroy shined brighter that night than the media's love - Tebow. Everyone smack talks before during and after a ballgame. Lord knows enough people have talked crap about Bama for years, and that's ok. We're going to California, and the video below is just a recap of why! ROLLLL TIDE ROLLLL! Big Grin

Funny how no man can be emotional and still be a man.

Would you even be posting here if Tebow didn't have bible verses under his eyes? What do you think about his relationship with his room mate?

Hi Justice,

Persoanlly I know nothing about his roommate. I would presume that the two have mutual respect and I would think that Tebow's Christian character has been a role model for his roommate and for his whole team.

Would I have posted if Tebow were not a Christian? Most likely I would have posted -- for I think it belittles the winning team for fans to be attacking those who lost. Sportsmanship should extend to fans also.

God bless, have a wonderful, blessed day,

Bill
