Some people have the vocabulary to sum up things in a way so you can understand them. This quote came from the Czech Republic. Someone over there has it figured out. We have a lot of work to do.:

"The danger to America is not Barack Obama but a citizenry capable of entrusting a man like him with the Presidency. It will be far easier to limit and undo the follies of an Obama presidency than to restore the necessary common sense and good judgment to a depraved electorate willing to have such a man for their president."

"The problem is much deeper and far more serious than Mr. Obama, who is a mere symptom of what ails America. Blaming the prince of the fools should not blind anyone to the vast confederacy of fools that made him their prince.

The Republic can survive a Barack Obama, who is, after all, merely a fool. It is less likely to survive a multitude of fools such as those who made him their president."

I feel this article is "spot on". And nearly everyone I meet feels the same. Could someone please tell me how this man was elected??? There must be masses upon masses of people in hiding, keeping silent, or have changed their minds about their vote. I just don't understand... We have got to wise up people! I don't care how conservative you are; our nation cannot continue down this road. My mind and heart just keeps repeating, "May the Lord have mercy on us all".

He was elected by stupid people like me who thought he was the lesser of two evils. I'll admit I voted for him & that it was the biggest mistake I ever made. I'm not in hiding or keeping silent but nothing I can do to change my vote now. Frowner

Don't feel too bad, a lot of people believed the hype. Obama is the perfect example of: If his lips are moving, he's lying! Big Grin

And he's not the only one. Incumbents need to be wary this November.

B50, you're right about the incumbents. We all saw what happened yesterday. I pray the winds of change are a blowin'.

As for Obie, I had a gut feeling that something was just "not right" about him/hype during his campaign, but more than that, common sense tells you... If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. IMO, he was just a suave, debonair kind of guy who did a lot of smooth talking and looked good on camera. Glad we've got a chance to rectify this situation next time around.

Semi,

Good for you! Its great to see someone who voted for him admit that he hasnt kept his promises. Dont stop now, yell it from the hilltops. Brave folks like you will help those too scared to admit it speak up! Kudos to you!

Jeepin'
Hey I'm not disagreeing but remember the Democratic Mantra "It's Bush's Fault". Hey I guess in a way it is Bush's fault because he apparently did so bad a job that people would vote for anyone else. Well it's either that or the media and most Democrats did such a good job of Bush bashing that people bought it hook line and sinker.

With Obama it's just the sinker .. sinking deeper and deeper and deeper
You take the quote from the Czeck Republic? You have any idea how "free and stable" that country is...I don't know how the **** you people can so easily forget the 8 years before Obama. Do you not remember the cowboy and "mission complete"? You darn right this didn't start with Obama...he is an easy target. I voted for him, and I still believe it was the right thing....so go ahead and condemn me also. History will show George Bush to be the worst president this country has ever had...he was a coward and an idiot. He brought the office of the president of this great country to a shell of itself...and we blame Obama.

Unattributed quotations from "Someone" allegedly somewhere in the Czech Republic might suffice for the undiscriminating Obama bashers of this world, but I prefer to get my advice and counsel from some more substantial source than that.

The Czech Republic is much like other nations. It has its share of both saints and sinners, geniuses and morons, statesmen and sleazeballs. The only thing demonstrated by that quotation is that somewhere in that nation there is a caustic, slime-slinging zealot who is so ideologically deranged and so devoid of humane respect as to characterize millions of decent American citizens, exercising their Constitutional right to vote, as a "multitude of fools" because he or she does not approve of their politics.

But if it makes you comfortable and smug about your political views, you just go ahead and collect all kinds of things from all kinds of sources and embrace that which suits your fancy and discard that which makes you uncomfortable. That kind of disordered and dangerous approach will ensure that you will become increasingly mired in misinformation, disinformation and the kind of high-proof baloney that is in amazing abundance in cyberland!

Yep. Bush did a hack-job. He was the worst, on so many levels. He's a boob.
But Obama hasn't really done anything to improve things.
I think, if you look back in history, especially during troubled times, it is a tradition to blame the ex-president for current woes.
Maybe rightfully so, maybe not.
But I know this country has not seen a great Leader in a very very long time.

Kinda makes you wonder doesn't it? When a country as bad as the Czech Republic can see what a moron some folks put into office, things must really be going to hell in a handbasket.
..I don't know how the **** you people can so easily forget the 8 years before Obama. Do you not remember the cowboy and "mission complete"? You darn right this didn't start with Obama...he is an easy target. I voted for him, and I still believe it was the right thing..
The first step to recovery, is admitting you made a mistake. I voted for GWB in his second term, and admittedly, it was a big mistake, HOWEVER, considering the alternative (Kerry), it was not much to choose from. I, however, refused to vote for an admitted socialist with no service record nor histroy of true accomplishment, and put them in the WH to govern. I have more pride in my country than to do that.
..so go ahead and condemn me also. History will show George Bush to be the worst president this country has ever had..

The jury is still out on that one, Obama has not left office yet. He is well on his way to making that record himself.

.he was a coward and an idiot.

I seriously doubt he is a coward. He may not be the sharpest knife in the drawer, but he did serve his country in the military. Exactly what service did Obama join? What exemplary feats of bravery and courage has he shown the masses? I will take a half wit who actually believes and loves his country any day, over a stuck up intellectual blow hard who believes that everything needs to be changed to redistribute wealth. I think alot of people agree with that, and hopefully he can join them in the unemployment line in 2012, right behind Arlin SPecter, and the rest of these clowns we plan to put out to pasture.

He brought the office of the president of this great country to a shell of itself...and we blame Obama.

Why dont you tout Obamas accomplishments while he has been in office?

What Nobama's done while in office cannot be considered "accomplishments" if you want to look at things that are good for this country. If Nobama was trying to bring this country down, I'd say he IS accomplishing that.

"History" has already shown W to be far better than the worst ever was/is. Carter had his chance in the '70's. Carter 2.0 is failing miserably.

During the time I lived in Paris, I visited Prague and liked it. The people were friendly towards Americans and the ladies charming. Their economy was doing well and is still doing much better than the PIGS. Many young Americans lived in Prague in the 1990s and compared it to Paris of the 1930's. I rather like their past president, Vaclac Havel. He is quite pro-US and free market. It was a breath of fresh air to have a playwright as president and Frank Zappa as a trade consultant.

Havel was/is highly critical on Clinton, "The third way leads to the third word." Havel suffered under the communist dictatorship, so had personal knowledge of the left.

My main reason for visiting was to arrange for possible non-emergency medical care and have dental work done. Really didn't like the French system.

He, like many at that time, used his dad to get him into the national guard...at that time, and I was there, there were three choices; National Guard, College, or Vietnam....Noone could get into the guard unless they had influence..he spent part of his time here in Alabama, chasing girls and drinking beer..
Like I always said, its not what you know, but who you know.....the same goes for ODumbo, he never accomplished much, except for writing a book, and a little community organizing. I wonder exactly who he knew that got him where he is today? Makes you wonder doesn't it? If I was one of those conspiracy theorists I would think maybe he was a plant....
You do make a good point.....

I am proud of your candor and honesty, we are in so much trouble, as a people and a nation.

If, none could get in the guard without influence, why was the Texas air guard running ads in the paper seeking recruits when Bush joined?

He may have drunk beer and chased girls, so what! Is you idea of fun chasing goats and drinking wine spritzers? However, he did attend all required drills. His pay and retirement records reflect that. Or, are you suggesting a serious conspiracy to the contrary!

...and please don't quote Dan Rather in your rebuttal... Wink
However, all one had to do was look at his voting record, he was the "most liberal US Senator" in office. He had never had a "real" job. He never served a day in the military, yet we were offering him the highest position of power in what was then the most powerful military in the world. He surrounded himself with cheats, tax evaders, and former terrorists, and yet lemmings such as Oprah followed him blindly down the path like he was some god.
To some he may have been the lesser of two evils, but on any day I would have taken a noted war veteran with a distinquished military record over this guy. It is a travesty.

BRAVO, VERY WELL PUT, so glad to see folks are really opening their eyes to what is happening to this great country of ours. Hopefully it's not to late to stop it.
