No, Jake has not returned. I have been working out of the area most of the week, and have not personally had a lot of time to search for him. I made some flyers for my family to post only to learn they only posted 2. I have to work till noon tomorrow and plan to spend the remainder of the day, trying to track him down. As of yesterday, he had not been picked up by animal control.

Jake is a very friendly dog and would take up with most anyone. I have yet to figure out how he got out last weekend and again on Monday, unless he climbed or jumped the fence. I suspect that he got out because of a female dog in heat, but could be wrong.

Jake was my walking buddy, my alarm clock, my stranger alert, and a whole lot more. He would come and huddle beside me when I had a bad day, felt bad or just knew when I needed a special friend.

I would look to have him back, but the longer it goes, the less the odds.
There have been many times, when Jake has really embarrassed me. If I had him with me and needed to run inside a store and pick up a drink or use the restroom, he would often stand in the driver’s seat of my truck, leaning on the horn, until I came out. This alone has caused many a laugh at my expense. He has even been known to change the channel on the radio, if he did not like the music.

If I pulled to a traffic light, he would put his head out of the window, looking at the driver, especially ladies, until they acknowledge him. He would then smile, flopping his ears and acting hyper, until I could calm him down. He loved the attention of the ladies.

He would also stare down other drivers who were playing their rap music too loud.

Too funny but I bet you love him. Have you found him yet?
