Jeffrey Epstein, accused sex trafficker, dies by suicide: Officials originally appeared on abcnews.go.com

Jeffrey Epstein, the disgraced millionaire who was facing federal sex trafficking charges, died by suicide early Saturday in his Lower Manhattan prison cell, three law enforcement officials told ABC News.

Epstein hanged himself, law enforcement sources said. He was transported in cardiac arrest at 6:39 a.m. from Metropolitan Correctional Center to New York Downtown Hospital, according to sources. Epstein, 66, was set to stand trial next year for allegedly sexually abusing dozens of minor girls in New York and Florida.

His death came less than three weeks after he was found unresponsive in his cell at the federal prison in Lower Manhattan, with marks on his neck that appeared to be self-inflicted, sources told ABC News.

He had been on suicide watch since the July 23 incident.

Epstein was arrested on July 6 for alleged sex trafficking of minor girls at his Upper East Side mansion and his home in Palm Beach, Florida. Some of the charges date back to the early 2000s.

Epstein, 66, pleaded not guilty to the charges. He faced up to 45 years in prison if convicted.

His alleged crimes were thrown back into the spotlight amid renewed scrutiny of the plea deal Epstein reached with the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Miami in 2007, led by then-U.S. Attorney Alexander Acosta. A non-prosecution agreement allowed Epstein, a hedge-fund manager, to plead guilty to two state charges and avoid federal charges for an allegedly broad pattern of similar sexual misconduct. He would serve just 13 months of an 18-month sentence in county jail in Florida.

The victims in that case were not made aware of the negotiations for nearly a year after the agreement was signed, according to their attorney.

The deal is currently under review by the Justice Department’s Office of Professional Responsibility. Acosta was serving as President Trump's Labor Secretary amid the controversy over his role in the deal. He later resigned from that position.

This is a developing story. Please check back for updates.

You would have thought that he was under constant surveillance given the watch he was on after the last attempt, if that is what it was.  Too late now but if I was Epstein and given the situation I would be in I would be on the lookout for the biggest, baddest, so in so in the whole jail, the one everyone feared and I would promise him a million dollars to keep me safe and alive.

If it was a suicide then it wasn't too good a watch but given how many people stood to be outed there is no short list of people who would have moneyed up to see him quietened.  Still there are plenty of girls out there that surely know who the main players are but after Epstein's death they might suddenly develop amnesia or a much fatter bank account.  I doubt that Epstein's death will stop suits against him in fact they may now increase given he's got a heck of an estate to divi up.

As for Clinton, I have no doubt that he participated on many of those sex romps with underage girls but I also feel that there are far more (now) powerful men out there that want to keep their names out of it and either would have alone set up a hit or contributed to a collection to have it done.

Jeffery Epstein was a total sleaze who preyed on underage girls using his money to hide a world of offenses and gain favor and the ability to bypass prosecution.  There is no telling, now, how much information he had on many wealthy and powerful men around the world and how much he gained with that information. There is also no telling just how many of those unnamed (or named) men would have been eager to see Epstein stop breathing.  Then too Epstein could've just as easily decided to take the easy way (at least for him) out by ending his own life knowing, or feeling, that his luck had run its course and that while being so accustomed to a billionaire's lifestyle getting adjusted to a small 6 ft cell where the only promise of sex he could have would be .. being on the receiving end of someone dishing out to him what he had been dishing out to underage girls for so long.

There is no telling the offenses that he and others were guilty of and the lives of the many he ruined that have yet to tell their story if it ever will come out.  IF they were to tell I'm sure they would be due payment from his estate and even with that some would never be compensated enough for what they endured.  I'm just hoping that with future revelations will come the names of the guilty and although there is no doubt they all will refute the accusations at least maybe they will suffer some shame for what they did.  I also bet there is a long list of Democrats given that Epstein was so close to so many and One Article the former Democratic Senate Majority Leader, George Mitchell along with Democratic Governor Bill Richardson.  I know just the mention of Bill Clinton will bring out those that always like to say we pick on Clinton but if he's guilty then why not mention it because he sure has a long list of offenses to collaborate that he most likely was an active, willing, participant with Epstein along with all the other powerful politicians and attorneys among which was named current Fox contributor Alan Dershowitz.

Given the money involved these men, all of them, could have easily procured girls over the age of accountability but they all wanted the very young so they took what they wanted and now all that's left is Epstein's cold body awaiting burial and a long list of (mostly) Democrats who are denying everything.  Epstein was a pig and those that used the younger girls are as well but you can be sure they will have their defenders, even on this forum.

Also what's intriguing is how it was Donald Trump who stood up to him and got him banned from Trumps club and resort due to his behavior toward young girls and that in the documents released the girls (who were I' sure ask) failed to name Trump as one of the participants.  I'm not giving Trump total exoneration though because Trump was friendly with many Democrats before turning Republican so it's possible that he ran in the circles that Epstein ran in but as of yet no one has named him so I'm not going to say one way or another but if the names come out and there is collaborating evidence then those guilty should suffer because of it, no matter who it is or how powerful they are.

From the article in the Daily Beast, about Epstein and the released documents was the following:

” Trump wrote in the letter. Trump and Epstein were friendly for years until the now-president supposedly kicked Epstein out of Mar-a-Lago for acting inappropriately with girls.

In a deposition, Giuffre says that Epstein told her that he was friends with Trump, but that she never witnessed the president and Epstein together. “Donald Trump never flirted with me,” she testified, and added that she didn’t see him have sex with girls at Epstein’s homes.

As much as those who hate Trump would like to read otherwise, it seems that Trump was about the ONLY one that would stand up to Epstein and punish him for his behavior.  Doesn't sound like too Buddy Buddy from what has been revealed so far.  I can guarantee you though as hated as Trump is there will be plenty that will try and manufacturer what they can to implement Trump when there are so glaring details that implement so many others that people want to quickly push under the rug and hide.

"Epstein was barred from President Trump’s Mar-a-Lago Club in Palm Beach, Fla., ‘because Epstein sexually assaulted an underage girl at the club,, according to court documents,’" The Washington Post reported.

"I learned through a source that Trump banned Epstein from his Maralago [Mar-A- Lago] Club in West Palm Beach because Epstein sexually assaulted an underage girl at the club," Fort Lauderdale lawyer Bradley Edwards’ said.

These same Democrats stealthily avoided any mention of former President Bill Clinton who is alleged to have visited Epstein’s private island many times.

"Jane Doe No. 102 stated generally that she was required by Epstein to be exploited not only by Epstein but also Epstein’s ‘adult male peers, including royalty, politicians, academicians, businessmen and/or other professional and personal acquaintances’ – categories Clinton and acquaintances of Clinton fall into," court documents said. An attorney who represented the victims of billionaire Jeffrey Epstein’s sexual assault said that in 2009, the only person that helped him was then citizen Donald Trump.

Prosecuting attorney Bradley Edwards was interviewed in December 2018 in Palm Beach, Florida shortly after settling a court case he had with billionaire Jeffrey Epstein.

The last breath hadn't escaped Epstein's lungs before the ignorant left started talking about Donald Trump. Now...after a few revelations from people in the know....saying there wasn't much of a friendship between Trump and Epstein to talk about....they have for the most part "shut it". LOL!! I'm sure a few of the pinheaded die hard libs will keep the lie going...and bring it back full force later on.

I've heard, through the news reporting, about the Epstein death how that many of his victims were angry that Epstein has, yet once again, escaped justice for his acts by taking the "easy way out".  For me, and I know that these girls wanted, and deserved, to be able to look him in the eye and see his face as he was sentenced, hopefully to a long term in jail.   The fact remains though that Epstein received the ultimate penalty, the death penalty, and death by hanging at that.  for his crimes.  Furthermore unlike those who were hanged for their crimes, in the United States, his hanging was one that most likely brought more pain to him than if carried out by the state.  In a proper hanging method , as capitol punishment, it was an art form to be done from a certain drop height, size of rope, based on the person's weight that would insure a quick, relatively painless (as possible for the method) death by severing the spine quickly.  By hanging himself,if that's what he did, then it wasn't by the required height nor with a strong rope sufficient to do the job as with capitol punishment so he most likely suffered more than if done by the state and given his crimes he surely wouldn't have gotten the death penalty.

No doubt if convicted he would have received some jail time but possibly with what he knew he could have weaseled out of serving the full sentence and there was always the possibility he could have gotten off on some technicality or double jeopardy claim or based upon past agreements with the feds.  This way he did receive the ultimate penalty, of death, for his crimes it just wasn't carried out by the state and his victims was not able to see his face or moments when he realized his punishment.  That's assuming though that he did kill himself and was not murdered.  I'm not sure that is what happened either given all he knew and could potentially reveal.  The fact that he was not on suicide watch, alone, this close to his last, reported, attempt, if that is what it was, is surely evidence of either gross negligence on the part of Justice officials or some nefarious act in order to assure, or pave the way for, his demise.

There are surely several people who are breathing a bit easier today with the news of his demise but very possibly he left some notes or information that has yet to be revealed or found that could still implement those that should be revealed, for their deeds.  Any, reasonable, person who knows the reputation of Bill Clinton and realizing that he took many flights on Epstein's plane often without his secret service contingent and to Epstein's island and properties, can theorize with fair certainty that Bill Clinton was one who also participated in the acts but also I would think, and believe, that given the familiarity of the US President to the population, even young girls, that his name would have or will come up among the victims and that they might even seek a monetary judgment  from him at this late point.  The fact is thought that most will most likely get away with it and at the most some will suffer embarrassment at being revealed.  I seriously doubt that there will be any indictments or judgments against these people.
