Well, the House was in session about 95 days thru July and the Senate about 90 days.  In August, the House will be in session 9 days and the Senate 16 days.  That's 101 days and 106 days, respectively.  When spreading out the Roach Motels and spraying with Raid, be sure to cover both sides of the Capitol.

In a free market economy, more pies are baked. In the economy advocated by Michelle, the pies are seized and slices rationed out -- to cronies.

I'm not defending anybody, but if the ideologues in the teabagger caucus will not compromise on anything, then we may as well shut the whole Congress down. (BTW, the lack of a capital letter for tebaggers is to show my disdain )

Our founders obviously intended different ideas to come into the governance of this country, and the differences sorted out by either compromise or consensus . What we have here, is one bunch will not give one bit on their demands, and the other side will not give in to all those demands.

Hopefully, in 2014 , we will rid ourselves of the teabaggers in Congress and elect either Democrats or reasonable Republicans. If not, we may be in for a long hard row to hoe.

Very good question.

For your edification, the compromise is supposed to take place within the chambers of Congress. The President's role is to sign or veto the bill.
Not counting the Amendments, the Constitution is all of 7 articles long - too long for you I assume, so this video may help in your understanding or how bills are to develop and what part the President is to play in the process.

Stats are on for Republicans to gain seat in the Senate.
